Royal Coronation – Events North Norfolk

The Coronation of His Majesty The King and her Majesty The Queen Consort will take place at Westminster Abbey on Saturday 6Th May 2023. The service is to be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury.

There will be plenty of opportunity for people to come together over the bank holiday weekend to celebrate the historic occasion together. On Sunday 7th May a special coronation concert will take place and broadcast live at Windsor Castle by the BBC. Communities and neighbours are invited to take part in the Coronation Big Lunch to share food and get to know your community a little better.

The Big Help Out will be held on Monday 8th May, is to tribute His Majesty The King’s public service. The Big Help Out will en  courage people to try volunteering for themselves and join the work being undertaken to support their local areas.

 

Sandringham Estate – The Coronation of his Majesty the King

Sandringham Estate will be celebrating the Royal Coronation on Saturday 6th May by putting on events over the weekend from Saturday 6th May to Monday 8th May

You can watch the Coronation and Coronation Concert on big screens in the Royal Parkland at Sandringham. For the Big Coronation Lunch, there will be long communal tables in the Parkland. They will have live music and family fun too.

Sandringham Restaurant will be serving a special Coronation-inspired afternoon tea (book in advance) or you can get a picnic takeaway version from the Terrace Café (must be pre-ordered). Additionally, you can explore the Gardens or see an exhibition of Watercolours by His Majesty The King in the House (book your tickets in advance). Note: As of 13 April, tickets for the Coronation Ceremony screening are sold out.

 

The King’s Coronation Celebration Street Party in Walsingham

Little Walsingham be hosting a Friday night village family street party to celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and the Queen Consort. The evening will feature children’s entertainment, live music performances by the Pilgrim Jazz Quintet led by John Clark, and delicious refreshments to keep you fuelled throughout the night. Wells-Next-the-Sea Street Party

Get ready to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III in style at the Buttlands in Wells-next-the Sea with a vibrant Street Party. Seating and tables for up to 300 people will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, but feel free to bring your own.

First-class musical entertainment will be on offer throughout the afternoon and evening, making sure you don’t stop dancing. Don’t forget to bring your picnic lunch or grab a bite from the various food, drink and snack outlets present on the Buttlands, and enjoy the bar and other attractions. The little ones will have plenty to do with a small fun fair to keep them entertained.

This is a community event, and it’s free for everyone, locals and visitors alike.
