We don’t believe in one size-fits-all as we understand that no two owners are the same, which is why we let you decide how often you use your property and how it is managed.

Our competitive service is completely flexible without the need to commit to premium commission charges and annual fees.

We are unique as we do not charge anything extra for our flexible management service; we do not have any joining costs or annual fees, and have no hidden financial incentives for any additional services we provide. 

We make our income from a fixed rate of commission on bookings we take for your property. Experience has shown that this helps to ensure that guests receive the best possible service and simply reduces the burden on you.

This is what our Sowerbys Holiday Cottages service provides for you:

Management of bookings

  • Taking deposit, balance or total payments for each of your bookings
  • Monthly payments to you via bank transfer prior to guests arriving
  • Holding a security deposit to be used in the event of any damage/breakages at your property
  • Tailor-made financial summaries for accounting purposes
  • All communication and liaison with guests including arrangements for arrivals, departures, any special requests etc.
  • Providing 24/7 support to guests with emergency assistance outside office hours for maintenance problems or if guests are locked out 
  • Supply and delivery of cots, high chairs and Christmas trees where required
  • Supply and compilation of high quality Guest Information folder to be left in your cottage
  • Providing online access to our bookings systems for owners and house-keepers
  • Communication with you and house-keepers for guest arrivals and departures
  • Obtaining feedback forms form guests with follow up action as required

House-keeping options

  • Full management of the cleaning and preparation of your property for guests and your own stays if required
  • Payment of house-keepers on your behalf and deduction from your owner’s account
  • Sourcing and recommendation of a house-keeper if you want to have a hands-on approach and to pay them directly yourself
  • Liaison with your existing house-keeper if you already have in place
  • Spot-checks by office team to ensure house-keeping standards are maintained
  • In the unlikely event that guests are dissatisfied with cleaning standards, we will arrange for any issues to be rectified promptly
