Beach
A sought-after coastal holiday destination with unspoilt golden sandy beaches. The sand dunes, beach huts and pine trees separate the village from the dog friendly beach. The quieter Old Hunstanton is situated only a mile from Hunstanton town, with the beautiful stripy cliffs standing between the two sandy beaches.
Village

History
The village of Old Hunstanton was named in the Domesday book at ‘Hunestanestada’, it later became part of the Le Strange family estates. The parish church of St Mary is situated in the grounds of Hunstanton Hall (Grade 1 listed) home to the Le Strange family for centuries.
Visit
A great area for walkers and cyclists, close to the Peddars Way footpath as well as the National Cycle Route and the neighbouring Hunstanton town and the quiet villages of Holme-next-the-Sea and Ringstead. Just a short drive away is the royal residence of Sandringham Estate. Further along the North Norfolk Coastal Path the pretty villages of Thornham and Brancaster can be found, with many nature reserves along the way including RSPB Titchwell. The pretty Georgian village of Burnham Market with a range of independent shops surrounding the leafy village green is also a popular destination.

Seawards, located in a quiet gated community behind the Lodge Hotel in Old Hunstanton is a comfortable and very well equipped holiday property. Newly extended, my wife and I were greeted with a generous selection of chocolates and a bottle of wine. Much appreciated. The large kitchen/dining room overlooks the garden through large patio windows and now features a covered seating area with heater. The kitchen and utility rooms have all that is needed for a self catering holiday. The bedrooms are warm and very comfortable with luxurious mattresses for an exceptional night's sleep.
We ate out several times at The Lodge, a mere 200 yards away and the beach is just a 5 minute walk away. An ideal location in Old Hunstanton. Birdwatching along the coast despite the unseasonal weather.
Absolutely loved this cottage, clean, spacious, well equipped, comfortable and lovely location. One of the best rentals we’ve stayed in. Watching the squirrels playing in the garden. Felt like we were in a park
Very well appointed home in a fantastic, quiet location. Home from home, great garden and proximity to beach.
Had an amazing time, everything that you would expect was in the cottage including lots of extra items, especially kitchen utensils etc. Bed was really comfortable and location central for travelling to different areas, including hunstanton, Wells Next the Sea, Sheringham and Cromer. other lovely villages/beaches along the A149 too. Old Hunstanton beach is lovely with all the sand dunes, lifeboat station and cafe. If visiting Cromer would definitely recommend Cod and Chips at No.1 Cromer restaurant, great sea view whilst eating too. Mim’s ice-cream parlour is only a 5 min drive with Drove Orchard and farm shop. It was over far too quick and we can’t wait to stay again, either in this property or next door, as we have stayed there twice in the past. Thanks again.
We had a wonderful stay at Seawards, the location was perfect and I don’t think we’ve ever stayed in such a well appointed holiday cottage. Everything we needed, and more! Old Hunstanton is a beautiful village in a perfect location we hope to come back again! Location and facilities for a family stay were perfect.
A lovely family home. The house was warm, cosy & well equipped. Everything was extremely comfortable! We slept amazingly well. The kitchen became a favourite place to congregate in & it was great having a utility room where we could put walking boots & have easy access to the garden & side gate.
A very comfortable and well presented house on a very quiet estate. The kitchen, in particular, had all the utensils, crockery, etc. that made it home from home; it even had a knife sharpener.
Had a lovely week relaxing in a super location for adults and especially children- would stop again
Seawards is a very practical house, nice decor and everything we needed. Liked the garden and having both an outside dining table and also separate comfortable seating. It’s location, the gated development and peace, the practical layout. Liked the style, facilities and decor. Great to have a shed. Very cosy and comfortable. Thanks to the owners for sharing their lovely home.
Nice well equipped and presented cottage in a good location. We have stayed at this property previously. we like it for it's location and the kitchen. Also well stocked with utensils and crockery.
Things we liked most: Location, available space (incl garden), mattress (adults), eating in the kitchen (4yo), games (adults and 4 yo). Buckaroo had no tail! It was very well appointed and seemed to have everything...but no teapot! Really, not the end of the world. We had a lovely holiday, thank you. Seawards is a fabulous holiday cottage.
It was a very comfortable cottage in a great location - Very quiet.
We loved it here.
The proximity to The Lodge Pub was wonderful, we ate there most nights.
It was very peaceful and we liked the fact that the property was gated which made us feel very secure.
