Village
Possibly one of the prettiest villages in North Norfolk, this Georgian village is within easy access to the North Norfolk Coast, still with a quaint feel, with many trendy shops. The village retains a ‘step back in time’ feel with leafy green trees and picturesque village green. Burnham Market has a traditional post office, book shop and hardware shop as well as beautiful boutiques and lifestyle shops, from the butchers and baker to fine dining and deli’s. There’s a superb fishmonger Gurneys with locally caught seafood including Brancaster mussels and Cromer crab - be sure to try the amazing fresh fishcakes. It’s a lovely village to visit to peruse the shops or even for a bite to eat in one of the restaurants. There are a lot of eateries to choose from… The Hoste for fine dining or afternoon tea, No Twenty9, The Nelson, award-winning Socius, Burnham Tearoom, or Tilly’s Cafe, there’s something to suit every taste. There is also a children’s play park, hard tennis courts and two parish churches one at each end of the village. If in need of a little pampering why not book a treatment or two at The Hoste Beauty Spa.There is also a dog groomer so you can have the best pampered pooch in the village.
Visit
With a scenic ride to the coast, you can enjoy lazy days on the beaches of Brancaster or Wells. Alternatively pull on your walking boots and investigate diverse coastal path walks, taking in all the birds and wildlife. Leave the car behind and pop on the Coastal Hopper bus and do a tour from Wells and The Burnhams to Norfolk's west coast. Don't forget to visit Holkham which not only has a superb beach, but majestic Holkham Hall which is well worth a visit: hire a boat on the lake, hop on a bike to explore the woodlands, test your bravery on the rope course, play in the woodland play park, take in the breathtaking rooms and art in the main house or simply enjoy tea and cake in the courtyard cafe. If big houses are your thing there are many others to visit with Houghton Hall and its fantastic sculpture collection, the house and grounds of Royal Sandringham to name a few! Get on the water, there are many activities from kite and windsurfing in Hunstanton, sailing in Brancaster Staithe, seal and boat trips from Brancaster and Wells, or take a beautiful trip on The Coastal Exploration Company and learn about the wildlife, trading and smuggling in the salt marshes or along the coast.

lovely house - with everything you could wish for - in an excellent, quiet location just a very short walk to the market place. A lovely garden too, which is both well enclosed for dogs and a great space for humans to relax in too! Highly recommended. Lots of highlights. Great to stay in Burnham Market - it's a lovely town (with lots of retail opportunities!). Nice beaches. Fabulous walking along the coast path, looking out over the salt marshes. And many other things to do if you have the time - Sandringham was a high point for us.
Excellent location for exploring Burnham Market and nearby beaches and villages. Loved our stay here, very convenient and the house was clean and well looked after, no complaints. The EV charger was very useful and saved us a lot of time.
This is an excellent house with regards to location and comfort. Rosemary House is ideally situated for accessing the shops in the village. The off street parking is a bonus. We were also very fortunate with the weather with no rain and lots of sunny days.
Great house with lovely private garden. Off-street parking was a bonus, and just a few steps from a lane leading to the village green. Our group comprised three generations and the second sitting room was particularly useful for our Grandchildren. We visited Holkham beach and walked to Wells and back. This is a particularly nice walk as you can choose beach one way and through trees the other. We visited Blakeney and enjoyed the must-have Crab sandwich.
Lovely spacious property in a prime location. Easy to relax but close enough to the centre of Burnham Market for short walks, trips to shops and restaurants. Also, excellent private garden space to eat outside, when the weather allowed. Having private off-street parking (and garage) was a huge benefit as we travelled with two cars. We have rebooked the property for next year, so on the whole we thought it was excellent.cKenzie
We found this to be an excellent property in every way. It is well located for the town and yet quiet. In the summer the lovely garden would be a real bonus. The property is well equipped, to a high standard We enjoyed Burnham itself with a range of shops and eateries. We had a great visit to Titchwell RSPB reserve and to Cley Nature Reserve.
A well appointed, comfortable and homely Cottage in an excellent position within Burnham Market. We were fortunate to have good weather so the garden was great to sit out in. This is our 7th stay in Rosemary house in 2 years as we like the comfort and position of the house and we were delighted to be able to extend our stay by two days with the kind permission of the owners. The house is just lovely and the off-road parking is a great bonus too.
We have been to Rosemary House several times now and it works well as a base for multi generational guests . There is something for everyone. Great seafood served at the local restaurants. White Horse at Brancaster was superb.
Truly wonderful house in the heart of the village. Rosemary House has everything you can ask for and more. It has charm but also modern touches. Kitchen with open doors out into garden perfect for warms days. Extra living room great for kids. Highlights are Holt and Holkham....and the fish platter at The Nelson was incredible!!!
A lovely spacious house. Very convenient for the High Street and for touring North Norfolk.
Lovely warm, spacious cottage well situated in the village.
Brilliant location and garden. Wonderful beaches and outdoor spaces.
Rosemary House is 10 out of 10, We just love being there!
At Rosemary House we like that the property was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, plus proximity to local shops and attractions. We had a wonderful holiday and hope to return soon; preferably with better weather though!.
The best cottage we have stayed in here in Burnham Market, very well appointed, spacious and homely, can't wait to stay here again in September.
Beautiful garden, Rosemary House is a lovely comfortable house that suited our needs perfectly. Loved our stay in Rosemary cottage..would loved to have stayed longer.. we were disappointed that because of lockdown we weren’t able to stay our full week as booked..but we were grateful for the time we had there.. and will definitely book again!
The property was spacious and well laid out. We liked particularly the fact that it had three bathrooms and the furnishings were very comfortable. The garden was amazing and the reason we chose this particular property was the fact that we were able to park two cars off the road! We had a dog with us so the garden was brilliant, the position of the property in relation to the high street was great and the parking. Burnham Market is a lovely base for visiting North Norfolk so it was an ideal stay for us. Can I also take the time to commend you on your Covid preparations and also the cleaners. The house was spotless, very welcoming and we felt completely safe and secure there. We all came away wishing we lived there
It was the families third visit to the property so it was ideal for us! Rosemary House is nice and enclosed, very private & centrally located. Ideally spaced out for a family
Rosemary House was Better than Expected - Everything. It s perfect. We keep coming twice a year we just love it
It's a very family friendly house with lovely garden for dogs and short distance to walk to the shops for those who are not so mobile! We have stayed numerous times here with the family and young and old and dog really enjoy their stay. Back again in the spring
Lovely bright rooms all in excellent condition and great location
Well presented. Excellent safe garden . 2 mins walk to Burnham market. Excellent location...but quite in the evening...good quality furniture and fittings.
10 out of 10 for cleanliness and gardens This was our 3rd stay in Rosemary House but the first time in the summer. We especially enjoyed making the most of the garden and being able to eat outside on most days. We love Rosemary House because there is so much space, which suits our grown up family. Giles's parents joined us for the second week and they loved the house, describing it as 'idyllic'. Nothing not to like! Thank you, the best holiday for years.
A really lovely house and we enjoyed our stay immensely.
This is a lovely house, the owners have done a super job it just fits the bill.

Could happily live there.
A great joy to be the first guests! Rosemary House is lovelier than a lovely thing in a lovely land!!
We have had such a wonderful New Year week at Rosemary House. Such a lovely house and a real treat to be steps from the village!
What a beautiful home this is, with so many luxuries and such attention to detail. We especially enjoyed lighting the fire in the evenings!
