Possibly one of the prettiest villages in North Norfolk, this Georgian village is within easy access to the North Norfolk Coast, still with a quaint feel, with many trendy shops. The village retains a ‘step back in time’ feel with leafy green trees and picturesque village green. Burnham Market has a traditional post office, book shop and hardware shop as well as beautiful boutiques and lifestyle shops, from the butchers and baker to fine dining and deli’s. There’s a superb fishmonger Gurneys with locally caught seafood including Brancaster mussels and Cromer crab - be sure to try the amazing fresh fishcakes. It’s a lovely village to visit to peruse the shops or even for a bite to eat in one of the restaurants. There are a lot of eateries to choose from… The Hoste for fine dining or afternoon tea, No Twenty9, The Nelson, award-winning Socius, Burnham Tearoom, or Tilly’s Cafe, there’s something to suit every taste. There is also a children’s play park, hard tennis courts and two parish churches one at each end of the village. If in need of a little pampering why not book a treatment or two at The Hoste Beauty Spa.There is also a dog groomer so you can have the best pampered pooch in the village.
With a scenic ride to the coast, you can enjoy lazy days on the beaches of Brancaster or Wells. Alternatively pull on your walking boots and investigate diverse coastal path walks, taking in all the birds and wildlife. Leave the car behind and pop on the Coastal Hopper bus and do a tour from Wells and The Burnhams to Norfolk's west coast. Don't forget to visit Holkham which not only has a superb beach, but majestic Holkham Hall which is well worth a visit: hire a boat on the lake, hop on a bike to explore the woodlands, test your bravery on the rope course, play in the woodland play park, take in the breathtaking rooms and art in the main house or simply enjoy tea and cake in the courtyard cafe. If big houses are your thing there are many others to visit with Houghton Hall and its fantastic sculpture collection, the house and grounds of Royal Sandringham to name a few! Get on the water, there are many activities from kite and windsurfing in Hunstanton, sailing in Brancaster Staithe, seal and boat trips from Brancaster and Wells, or take a beautiful trip on The Coastal Exploration Company and learn about the wildlife, trading and smuggling in the salt marshes or along the coast.

Lovely spacious property. Great location within Burnham Market.
It is a very modern and comfortable house close to the centre of Burnham. We had a very enjoyable week and the weather was agreeable. I think the main plus was the fact that we could walk to the Hoste and Twenty9 in the evening. The family were able to relax in the sizeable kitchen, dining area and two lounges.
We all enjoyed our stay. The property is just as described on the website. High standard throughout
Lots of space with a large kitchen/dining area. A wonderful property for large groups. Lots of space in rooms, good garden and outdoor seating. Big drive for parking multiple cars. Minutes walk to Burnham Market centre.
I loved the space and size of all the rooms. Very well equipped. lots of bathrooms. Lovely touch having Sky Sport. Great to have a 2nd lounge on the first floor. Yes we would stay again!
High end furnishings unexpected but a very nice touch for a holiday let. Thank you for a fantastic family holiday (our children are 20 and 17 but we all enjoyed a great week together. A good base for families with old children ( tv room upstairs was a bonus).
