Village
Possibly one of the prettiest villages in North Norfolk, this Georgian village is within easy access to the North Norfolk Coast, still with a quaint feel, with many trendy shops. The village retains a ‘step back in time’ feel with leafy green trees and picturesque village green. Burnham Market has a traditional post office, book shop and hardware shop as well as beautiful boutiques and lifestyle shops, from the butchers and baker to fine dining and deli’s. There’s a superb fishmonger Gurneys with locally caught seafood including Brancaster mussels and Cromer crab - be sure to try the amazing fresh fishcakes. It’s a lovely village to visit to peruse the shops or even for a bite to eat in one of the restaurants. There are a lot of eateries to choose from… The Hoste for fine dining or afternoon tea, No Twenty9, The Nelson, award-winning Socius, Burnham Tearoom, or Tilly’s Cafe, there’s something to suit every taste. There is also a children’s play park, hard tennis courts and two parish churches one at each end of the village. If in need of a little pampering why not book a treatment or two at The Hoste Beauty Spa.There is also a dog groomer so you can have the best pampered pooch in the village.
Visit
With a scenic ride to the coast, you can enjoy lazy days on the beaches of Brancaster or Wells. Alternatively pull on your walking boots and investigate diverse coastal path walks, taking in all the birds and wildlife. Leave the car behind and pop on the Coastal Hopper bus and do a tour from Wells and The Burnhams to Norfolk's west coast. Don't forget to visit Holkham which not only has a superb beach, but majestic Holkham Hall which is well worth a visit: hire a boat on the lake, hop on a bike to explore the woodlands, test your bravery on the rope course, play in the woodland play park, take in the breathtaking rooms and art in the main house or simply enjoy tea and cake in the courtyard cafe. If big houses are your thing there are many others to visit with Houghton Hall and its fantastic sculpture collection, the house and grounds of Royal Sandringham to name a few! Get on the water, there are many activities from kite and windsurfing in Hunstanton, sailing in Brancaster Staithe, seal and boat trips from Brancaster and Wells, or take a beautiful trip on The Coastal Exploration Company and learn about the wildlife, trading and smuggling in the salt marshes or along the coast.

A beautiful, comfortable, well equipped cottage. Having a short walk into Burnham Market and all it has to offer.
Amazing property, had all the essentials and the cleaner had done a brilliant job. Will be booking for next year. Arriving qt the property and having a base in the heart of Burnham Market which is a perfect location. We had the great weather so going out to Burnham Overy and on the ferry to the island was bliss. Brilliant stay as always with Sowerbys.
A very well equipped, comfortable house. A great place for exploring the North Norfolk coast.
Had a lovely week in Little Pearl, a very clean and comfortable cottage. Well situated for everything North Norfolk has to offer. Lots of good shops and restaurants in Burnham Market. We enjoyed the cottage, walks at Titchwell, Pizza at Wiveton Hall, Roarr just outside Norwich, Socius almost next door as well as Gurney’s, Utting’s and number Thirty3 bakers.
Lovely property, perfect location, it was our second visit. We enjoyed wandering round Burnham market, visiting Wells and Blakeney and Holme is a very quiet beach if Holkham and Wells are crowded And the meal we had at the Duck in was really excellent
Very pleased with the accommodation. Lovely house and great location. Evening meals at The Hoste and Twenty9, both excellent food.
Stayed here a few times and a great place. Location facilities and quality of the house is brilliant. Will return again thanks. The property plays a big part of the stay and that with the village is great.
Beautiful house set in a great location ideal for a family. Clean an spacious with everything you could need for a week away. There is also a nice size garden and parking too. Taking a boat trip to see the seals was a highlight for us the kids loved it. The beaches are all fantastic and the local towns are great.
Little Pearl was just perfect for us. It is beautifully presented and has all you need for your stay. Easy walking into Burnham Market and a good bus service should you wish to leave your car in the drive. Nice and cosy in the winter too. The housekeepers do a great job and the place was spotless. We came specifically to visit Diva Opera at Holkham Hall, which we have done for many years. We often come to North Norfolk at any time of the year, just for a bit of r & r .
Lovely cottage, perfect location and beautifully styled. Will absolutely stay here again
Lovely cosy house. We needed the underfloor heating as the weather was so cold with unexpectedly biting wind in June!Thank you for a beautifully clean house with everything we needed. Great bed and pillows. Good showers with lots of towels provided. There were only two of us!Very conveniently located for the local shops.Car parking space a real treat in Burnham! It was our 7th year visiting Burnham Market and North Norfolk. The Duck at Stanhoe provided exceptional food as always but so sad to hear Ben and his wife are leaving.North Creake Farmers Market was superb.Having visited our regular haunts we ventured further to the Vicarage Garden at East Ruston. A real treat for gardeners. Holkham Beach always a must whatever the weather!
