Jasmine Cottage is a fabulous Norfolk coastal cottage which has undergone a complete refurbishment to provide the perfect, luxurious retreat. Great care and attention has gone into transforming this traditional cottage to create a sociable and beautifully presented holiday home combining coastal charm with modern twist. The ground floor has been re-designed to create a wonderful, open-plan lounge/dining area complete with a wood burning stove and flowing seamlessly in to the stylish kitchen. Upstairs has three bright and airy bedrooms in addition to the stunning family bathroom with feature freestanding bath. Jasmine Cottage is ideally positioned within the heart of the popular coastal village of Thornham, just a short walk to the picturesque coast and several excellent places to eat and drink including The Lifeboat Inn and the award-winning Orange Tree.

- The off-street parking may prove too narrow for wider vehicles, however on-street, unrestricted parking is usually available directly outside the cottage

- No dogs are permitted at this cottage
Ground Floor
Open-Plan Living/Dining Room:- A beautifully presented light and airy room with two stylish sofas and an additional single armchair, a SMART TV, wood-burning stove and large dining table with eight chairs.
Kitchen: A contemporary, high quality kitchen which has been carefully planned to ensure that guests have all that they need. The kitchen has been extremely well-equipped with a built-in electric oven with hob, full height integral fridge/freezer, integral dishwasher and washing machine.
Boot Room: Perfect after a walk on the beach, the boot room has wooden flooring and leads directly to the Cloakroom.
Cloakroom: WC and wash hand basin with storage cupboard beneath.
First Floor
Bedroom 1: Generous bedroom with zip-linked beds, giving guests the option of a king-size bed or twin beds (please advise at time of booking), bedside table and lamps and free-standing wardrobes and chest of drawers.
Bedroom 2: Second beautifully presented bedroom with a double bed, bedside table and lamp and freestanding hanging rail and chest of drawers.
Bedroom 3: Light and airy room with single bed, freestanding chest of drawers and wall-mounted hooks/hang rail.
Family Bathroom: A stylish bathroom with large, freestanding bath, walk-in shower, wash-hand basin with storage cupboards beneath and WC.
Outside
There is a drive-way at the side of the cottage providing parking for up to two vehicles in addition to the unrestricted on-road parking. The rear garden is fully enclosed with six-foot fencing and has mostly been laid to patio with shingled area leading to the useful storage shed.

Beach
A highly sought after coastal village on the Norfolk Coast within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A paradise for walkers, photographers, artists and bird watchers due to the panoramic views of the salt marshes.
There is a worthwhile and picturesque mile long walk across the creeks, here you will reach the often quiet, stunning and dog friendly sandy beach of Thornham Bay. Continue along to the popular boardwalk to Holme Dunes NWT Nature reserve with interesting habitats of flora and fauna from natterjack toads and migrating birds.
Village
The village is notable as magnet for foodies and day trippers with seriously good shopping. Drove Orchards on the outskirts of Thornham has an impressive Farm Shop where you can PYO and is notable for its apple juice, fishmongers and a small selection of lifestyle shops. You may of heard of the ‘not to be missed’ Eric’s Fish and Chips, where you can enjoy a beer with your meal and children love the desserts, a fried jam sandwich, or ice cream where they can help themselves to tasty toppings. Thornham Deli, cafe and store is also great for a browse or bite to eat and it's next door to the Village Hall and play park. There are also two great village pubs to choose from.:The Orange Tree award winning gastro pub, ideal for families with outdoor play area and The Lifeboat Inn, a traditional and atmospheric haven, often with a roaring fire and warm welcome for every guest including salty sea dogs.
History
Thornham is named after the Old English meaning ‘homestead or village where the thorn trees grow’. The village has a rich history and many of the buildings date back to the 16th Century. Archaeological evidence dates as far back as the Bronze Age. The village had a prosperous harbour 200 years ago and a fascinating story of a smugglers Inn and a bandit’s hideout.
Visit
Nestled between the villages of Holme-next-the-Sea and Titchwell both with bird and wildlife visitors’ centres RSPB Titchwell and NWT Nature reserve. There are many other villages to explore within a short distance like Brancaster, Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham with their great family beaches. Brancaster Staithe is popular with sailors and courses and lessons can be taken here or at Morston. You can learn to be a smuggler, explore the coast or sail the creeks with The Coastal Exploration Company, or take a seal trip to Blakeney Point from Morston Quay. Dalegate Market in Burnham Deepdale is a nice area to visit the shops or visit the quintessential village of Burnham Market where you can source most Norfolk delicacies from the independent and quaint shops that surround the village green.

Loved our weekend stay at Jasmine Cottage. It is a beautiful property and very well located for the pubs and deli in Thornham. Welcomed being able to join the coastal path without having to get in the car. Beautifully furnished house.
Thank you for a wonderful stay. The cottage was fantastic, comfy and extremely well equipped. The location is ideal with so many things to do close by. Great for kids with the playground so near too. We had an amazing week and will be back for sure x
We liked visiting Drove Orchards (particularly Erics Pizzas), Brancaster Beach, Holkham Beach, Pensthorpe Nature Reserve and Fat Cow Burgers close by
Jasmin Cottage is beautiful. It has everything you would want for a lovely family stay. Eric's Pizza and The Orange Tree are both wonderful/ A perfect place to come back to and the beds are super comfy! Thank you we hope to stay again.

All Sowerbys holiday cottages are supplied with bed linen and towels and the cost of heating is included in the rental price.
Electric Vehicle charging
Cars may only be charged if there is an EV charging point fitted at the property. The cost of electricity is NOT included in the rental price and Sowerbys Holiday Cottages must be notified if the charger is used and an additional surcharge will be made. Due to insurance purposes, guests must never charge their car using a standard outdoor plug or an extension cable linking to a domestic plug. This is not permitted because of fire regulations regarding wiring, earthing rods and voltage restrictions; it poses a serious fire risk to standard 13 amp sockets and there is a real danger that the body of the vehicle could become live.
