History

In the 19th Century the parish priest was Philip Ward the husband of Lord Nelsons daughter Horatia.

We were very grateful to receive a welcome package and card welcoming us to the property. Lovely quiet location which was well situated for visiting the Norfolk coast and all that it has to offer. It was nice to have 2 bathrooms. The property was secure, which was great for our 2 children and dog. We appreciated having a washing machine and dish washer.
A very enjoyable stay in a lovely cottage. It was our 2nd visit to Grasshopper and once again everything was great - well equipped and very clean - and in such a convenient position for visiting all the lovely places of interest in this area of North Norfolk.
2nd time staying in this cottage, yet again ideal base for our week in north Norfolk. Great family evening meal at the duck inn minutes walk away.
Grasshopper was recommended by our son who stayed earlier in the year. It came up to our expectations. Comfy, relaxing and in a peaceful setting. We enjoyed watching the wildlife opposite on the field. Perfect for exploring the local area. We had some lovely walks. We visited the Anthony Gormley exhibition at Houghton hall with it's beautiful gardens.
Beautifully peaceful cottage with quality fixtures and fittings, fully enclosed garden and plenty of walking , eating and relaxing places just a short car ride away. The tranquil surroundings, no clocks in cottage , delicious food in several pubs nearby, enclosed garden, spotlessly clean cottage with highest quality soft furnishings.
The welcome pack and note from the owner were a very much appreciated and we could happily live in Grasshopper cottage. Thank you, it was our first holiday in over 4 years and we couldn't have stayed anywhere nicer.
The cottage was very clean on arrival. The bed was very comfortable and overall it was a very well equipped cottage. Lovely welcome pack with a welcome card. Our dogs enjoyed a very secure garden (lots say they are but on inspection they aren’t) and it was nice to see the rabbits and a badger wondering across the lawn.
4th if not 5th visit so we've said it all!
We really enjoyed our fortnight stay at Grasshopper Cottage. It was an ideal place to spend Christmas the New Year. The coast is within a 15-minute drive. The setting is beautiful and was perfect for us with our dog. I would recommend this place to anyone.
