Village
Possibly one of the prettiest villages in North Norfolk, this Georgian village is within easy access to the North Norfolk Coast, still with a quaint feel, with many trendy shops. The village retains a ‘step back in time’ feel with leafy green trees and picturesque village green. Burnham Market has a traditional post office, book shop and hardware shop as well as beautiful boutiques and lifestyle shops, from the butchers and baker to fine dining and deli’s. There’s a superb fishmonger Gurneys with locally caught seafood including Brancaster mussels and Cromer crab - be sure to try the amazing fresh fishcakes. It’s a lovely village to visit to peruse the shops or even for a bite to eat in one of the restaurants. There are a lot of eateries to choose from… The Hoste for fine dining or afternoon tea, No Twenty9, The Nelson, award-winning Socius, Burnham Tearoom, or Tilly’s Cafe, there’s something to suit every taste. There is also a children’s play park, hard tennis courts and two parish churches one at each end of the village. If in need of a little pampering why not book a treatment or two at The Hoste Beauty Spa.There is also a dog groomer so you can have the best pampered pooch in the village.
Visit
With a scenic ride to the coast, you can enjoy lazy days on the beaches of Brancaster or Wells. Alternatively pull on your walking boots and investigate diverse coastal path walks, taking in all the birds and wildlife. Leave the car behind and pop on the Coastal Hopper bus and do a tour from Wells and The Burnhams to Norfolk's west coast. Don't forget to visit Holkham which not only has a superb beach, but majestic Holkham Hall which is well worth a visit: hire a boat on the lake, hop on a bike to explore the woodlands, test your bravery on the rope course, play in the woodland play park, take in the breathtaking rooms and art in the main house or simply enjoy tea and cake in the courtyard cafe. If big houses are your thing there are many others to visit with Houghton Hall and its fantastic sculpture collection, the house and grounds of Royal Sandringham to name a few! Get on the water, there are many activities from kite and windsurfing in Hunstanton, sailing in Brancaster Staithe, seal and boat trips from Brancaster and Wells, or take a beautiful trip on The Coastal Exploration Company and learn about the wildlife, trading and smuggling in the salt marshes or along the coast.

Oops, I can highly recommend the local wine!
Visited the weekend of the Christmas lights switch on, which was lovely and even the rain didn't put the crowds off.
Beautiful, warm and cosy apartment in the perfect location and it was fantastic to have such a charming pub as the Hoste to call your local!
We'll hopefully be back in summer to take advantage of the gorgeous balcony.
Thank you!
We all had a fab week in this wonderful apartment. Very cosy and comfortable. Thank you!
Great place.Great location. So nice to go to somewhere that was clean.Would definitely stay again.
We had a lovely stay at The Loft. The apartment is very well equipped and the outside roof terrace is an absolute bonus, such a nice spot to sit, read and relax in the sunshine. Burnham Market is a really lovely village with great facilities and a brilliant centre for visiting the Norfolk coast, with great walks too.
A great stay! Very windy but some wonderful warm sunny days.
The apartment is much changed from when we stayed here before - now has excellent appliances and we appreciated the comfy beds although we missed the big bath which was here before!
The location is brilliant and the terrace is a magical feature. We hope to return in 2025.
One recommendation to suggest - wooden hangers including some with a bar for trousers!
Many thanks!
Excellent location with great access to a number of other local towns, villages and beaches - very enjoyable stay. Excellent location and well equipped property.
Fabulous location. Apartment beautifully equipped, the super comfy beds made for a very relaxing stay. The terrace was wonderful, bright and the sun is always on it! We recommend a visit to Holkham Hall and you must visit the lovely walled gardens too. The Victoria restaurant at Holkham is great. A stroll across the green from the apartment to No.29 is a definite. Great pub with lovely food. We will be back for sure!! Thank you
We loved it so much we are already looking to book it for next year. The location of the apartment is right in the centre of Burnham Market, only a 1 minute walk from No.29 bar and restaurant. The food and service here is amazing!! With a bar downstairs for before and after drinks. The apartment itself has a beautiful suntrap terrace where we sat out on most mornings and evenings. The beds were extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated. The open plan kitchen and sitting were lovely too. If you wish to have a peaceful get away this apartment is just the place to relax and have some downtime!!! Thank you!
We have stayed in many locations and properties over the years. The decoration and effort put into making this a lovely rental is clear. I am really fussy about the beds I sleep in, mine was really comfortable and clearly a good bed, rather than cheap for the rental market.
The convenience of its locality was a highlight. If you want to drive, you are no distance from the beauty of the coast and all the beautiful walks it offers. But if you want to just relax, there is a great roof terrace for you to wind away the day relaxing, before venturing out to dinner only moments away on foot!
This is really well provisioned, recently renovated which makes it feel new (but charactered), clean and accommodating. Nothing additional at this time Maintenance Required: None that we were aware of.
Not many properties have great en-suites to both bedrooms, this one does! Right in the heart of Burnham, everything from coffee to pubs, to food is right there for you. Loved it, will be back!
