Floorplan

Village

Possibly one of the prettiest villages in North Norfolk, this Georgian village is within easy access to the North Norfolk Coast, still with a quaint feel, with many trendy shops. The village retains a ‘step back in time’ feel with leafy green trees and picturesque village green. Burnham Market has a traditional post office, book shop and hardware shop as well as beautiful boutiques and lifestyle shops, from the butchers and baker to fine dining and deli’s. There’s a superb fishmonger Gurneys with locally caught seafood including Brancaster mussels and Cromer crab - be sure to try the amazing fresh fishcakes. It’s a lovely village to visit to peruse the shops or even for a bite to eat in one of the restaurants. There are a lot of eateries to choose from… The Hoste for fine dining or afternoon tea, No Twenty9, The Nelson, award-winning Socius, Burnham Tearoom, or Tilly’s Cafe, there’s something to suit every taste. There is also a children’s play park, hard tennis courts and two parish churches one at each end of the village. If in need of a little pampering why not book a treatment or two at The Hoste Beauty Spa.There is also a dog groomer so you can have the best pampered pooch in the village.

Visit

With a scenic ride to the coast, you can enjoy lazy days on the beaches of Brancaster or Wells. Alternatively pull on your walking boots and investigate diverse coastal path walks, taking in all the birds and wildlife. Leave the car behind and pop on the Coastal Hopper bus and do a tour from Wells and The Burnhams to Norfolk's west coast. Don't forget to visit Holkham which not only has a superb beach, but majestic Holkham Hall which is well worth a visit: hire a boat on the lake, hop on a bike to explore the woodlands, test your bravery on the rope course, play in the woodland play park, take in the breathtaking rooms and art in the main house or simply enjoy tea and cake in the courtyard cafe. If big houses are your thing there are many others to visit with Houghton Hall and its fantastic sculpture collection, the house and grounds of Royal Sandringham to name a few! Get on the water, there are many activities from kite and windsurfing in Hunstanton, sailing in Brancaster Staithe, seal and boat trips from Brancaster and Wells, or take a beautiful trip on The Coastal Exploration Company and learn about the wildlife, trading and smuggling in the salt marshes or along the coast.

Lovely clean cottage. BBQ useful, Sunny aspect

The Burton's, 9th of September 2024

Cottage is very well equipped and central to local amenities. The welcome pack was a bonus , saves tripping out when you first arrive to get milk for a cuppa ! Lots of choice for eateries and the local independent shops are great - you needn’t take the car out as you can find everything you need in the village.
We enjoyed our stay in Brent Burn. Thank you. Seeing the local area, visiting Holkham, Cromer, Holt, Brancaster Staithe. We did a circular walk around here following a national trust map - very enjoyable. We ate at several places - top spot was socious delicious.

The Burn's, 1st of August 2024

Nice cottage for price, everything easy to work.

The Woolf's, 8th of July 2024

Very much enjoyed the stay. Location absolutely ideal - down a quiet land yet literally two minutes' walk from the centre of the village and most amenities. Property clean, comfortable, cosy, with all mod cons and mostly well maintained. I think it likely we'll be coming back again. The cottage was an ideal base for getting out and about in the local area. Made trips out to Wells and Holkham on the bus during the day, and come the evening we enjoyed the hospitality of all the good restaurants in Burnham Market enormously.

The Potter's, 18th of June 2024

Very comfortable and clean . Convenient for shops, buses and pubs. Would recommend to friends. A new area for us finding different places to visit without using the car every day. Like the local shops. Enjoyed the pubs and restaurants as we ate out every day.

The Adam's, 27th of May 2024

We've stayed at Brent Burn lots over the last 8 years. Clearly we really like it there. An enclosed garden for the dog. Easy access to the town shops pubs, restaurants and bus stops. A very comfortable bathroom with a great shower and an en-suite for those times you don't want to negotiate the stairs. Easy kitchen and a separate dining room. The main living area is very comfortable with good wi-fi TV and a fantastic open fire. Its our cottage of choice. Lots of walks, only one rainy day, good pubs: The Hosts 29, The Hero. Good restaurants especially Socious. Evenings in front of the fire

The Jone's, 13th of March 2024

Very comfy cottage, everything there that we needed. Real fire a treat on New Years Eve. Holkham Beach always a pleasure, despite the weather and number of people!

The Britton's, 9th of January 2024

Lovely cottage very close to the centre of the village. We enjoyed our stay over Christmas 2023. Just so close to the village centre which was ideal. Great walks were had at Holcombe beach. Lovely meal 29 on Christmas Eve. Lovely Christmas tree and door garland. The garden was perfect for the dogs.

The Tsitsirides's, 5th of January 2024

We had a lovely 4 day mini break at Brent Burn. The cottage was in an ideal location for us. 2 minutes from The Hoste! The cottage was charming and had everything we needed. The welcome pack and logs for the fire got us off to a very good start. This was my 3rd time at Brent Burn and I will be returning . We walked to Holkham via the coastal path. It was lovely.

Alison, 9th of November 2023

Our second time staying at this cottage. Has everything needed for a relaxing stay and in a great location. The arrival pack was a nice touch.

The Sparkes', 25th of September 2023

We had a lovely week, even though the weather wasn’t great!! It was great to be able to just walk out to all the fabulous shops and restaurants on our doorstep but still be in a quiet area of the village. The cottage is ideally placed to explore all the north Norfolk coast, which we did. The cottage is well kept, clean and has everything needed for your holiday including our dog. Very highly recommended. Walks along the coastlines and coastal footpaths. Shops and restaurants. Visit to Holkham Hall and Sunday lunch at the Lifeboat Inn at Thornham.

The Wells', 21st of July 2023

We had a lovely stay at Brent Burn, Cottage is in a perfect location, very clean and perfect size for the 4 of us (2 adults, 1 Child, 1 dog). We will definitely be back! Very clean, nice quality towels and bedding. Pillows and duvet were lovely all had very good sleep at night. Shower is a lovely size, nice and powerful. Kitchen well equipped and the welcome gift was very much enjoyed, thank you! It was lovely to have use of some crabbing nets as we didn’t have our own. We had a very enjoyable stay in a lovely property and sowerbys were very helpful in locating my sons toy bunny that we accidentally left. Thank you.

The Lee's, 29th of June 2023

The cottage looked a delight when we pulled up and we wasn't disappointed when we went in. The garden was important to us as our dog needs space to play ball where he can't escape from. It was perfect. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, and a cake and bottle of apple juice was a lovely welcoming gift.

The Tuckey's, 20th of June 2023
