Village and Harbour
Brancaster Staithe is the coastal village nestled between Brancaster and Burnham Deepdale which flow into one almost continuous settlement. The village boasts a picturesque fishing harbour with sailing club with sailing school, two lovely pubs, The White Horse with outside dining that looks over the Staithe and has a great seasonal menu. The Jolly sailors which boasts a national family pub award, they have an outside eating area, play area and serve delicious pizza as well as putting on music events as well as an Ale festival. Near the harbour is the National Trust Activity Centre, just off the coastline is the Scolt Head Island National Nature reserve as off shore 4 mile long sand bar that extends from Brancaster to Wells-next-the-Sea. You can take a boat trip with Branta Cruises to visit the island, also great for bird watching so take your binoculars. Be sure to pop to The Fish Shed for some lovely sea food and the famous Brancaster Mussels.
On the Door Step
Burnham Deepdale merges with Brancaster Staithe and has the Dalgate Market shops, cafe, great for breakfast, tourist information and bike hire. Annual Spring Market, 1940’s weekend and The charming Christmas Market are some of the events you can visit at Dalgate market
With the Norfolk coastline being one of the most diverse in the country many of the beaches have something different to offer. The Coastal Path makes for beautiful scenic walks to take in the sea air. There is some great wildlife form the many Nature reserves, Titchwell, The Lookout in Holkham Nature Reserve and Cley Marshes Visitors Centre to name a few. Some more unusual animal encounters might be the Llamas in Wells or the beautiful seal trips from Blakeney or Morston.

Lovely bungalow with loads of space & a fabulous garden. Has all the facilities you need & more. Some parts of the property are a bit dated but certainly doesn’t detract from the overall stay. Great location & excellent amenities. Lovely comfortable beds for a great nights sleep after discovering all that this part of the country has to offer. Close to beaches, pubs & public transport. Would highly recommend The Hero at Brancaster Staithe.
A bungalow that really suits my wife and myself and our 2 dogs. On the edge of the village of Brancaster Staithe with views across open fields. Good sized rooms, comfortable beds, and very well equipped. Great location within easy walking distance of the harbour, local pubs, restaurants and shops. We were here for a week in April and look forward to returning to the property in October this year.
Another great few days in Bonnierigg. All we need next time is better weather!! The reason we like this property is the location, so easy to get out onto the coast path, the spacious living arrangements, the fact that there are no stairs as my friend finds these difficult at the moment and perfect garden for the dog. We very much hope to be back again next year...it would be lovely to be there with some sunshine one day!!!
Good as always , lovely property with even more improvements this year. Lovely quiet property but not far from the beach. New shower cubicle was much easier for Mum
This bungalow works really well for us and our 2 little dogs. The property is really comfortable and the garden is secure for the dogs. The property is really well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Open countryside to the rear of the property garden(even had 2 hedgehog visitors one evening). Jolly Sailors pub just 300 yards away and The White Horse within walking distance as is Brancaster Staithe harbour. Visiting and walking around the nearby settlement of Burnham Overy Staithe. The garden had been tended and the grass cut the day we arrived and we would certainly stay again as we have already booked to return in October.
Very comfortable , the new shower enclosure and flooring are a big improvement, great location for using the coast hopper bus and walks on the coastal path. We have enjoyed lovely walks along the coastal path and have seen lots of different birds , some great meals at the white horse and the lifeboat at Thornham , enjoyed the peace and quiet at bonnierigg.
Always great to stay at Bonnierigg, the peace and quiet is wonderful - as is the bungalow. The peace and quiet.
Very peaceful location with great walks from the doorstep and a welcoming pub at the bottom of the road.
The bungalow is warm and cosy with everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing break. The garden is ideal for a dog and would be an ideal al-fresco location for the warmer weather. Walking directly from the front door and the Crab Hut in the harbour serving delicious food.
Super location with a beautiful spacious bungalow and a large garden. Fabulous beaches within a 5 minute drive. Good choice of restaurants. We return to this area every year as it ticks all the boxes for us. Highlight for us was the lovely weather ( unexpected at this time of year ) we were able to be out and about with our dogs and to enjoy the excellent grounds with a secure garden.

Lovely bungalow - comfortable beds, lovely lounge and big kitchen. And of course the lovely private garden and drive for the cars
Peaceful house conveniently placed for sailing and exploring the coast. Great location. Spacious. Lovely garden outlook.
The property was used as an overspill for family attending a wedding as it is close to the main family home, also in Orchard Close. It was perfect in every way and ideal for our needs. We will certainly be in touch again when we have too many family members to accommodate ourselves. It is just perfect to be able to overspill in such a close and lovely property.
good spacious practical bungalow . Comfortable beds .
A lovely spacious and well equipped bungalow. Ideally located to explore North Norfolk. The large secure garden was an added bonus for the dogs to enjoy. Highly recommend 'The Hero' at Burnham Overy Staithe for dining out.
Great location, easy walk to harbour and two village pubs. The White Horse has a good restaurant and nice outside bar with marsh views, The Jolly Sailors is very dog friendly and does great fresh baked pizza - staff are very nice too. Bungalow is spacious, well equipped and the large enclosed garden is perfect for the dogs.
A spacious, clean property with a large enclosed garden that the dogs loved! Such a great location with easy access to the coast path and local pubs. We will definitely be looking to return, hopefully when the weather is better! Having spent my childhood as a member of the sailing club it was just memory lane!
Always enjoy staying here. Always lovely and quiet but easy to get to places. we just love staying there - never want to go home.
Always fantastic to stay at Bonnierigg, great house, loads and loads of space, lovely garden with views up to the common and only 2 minutes walk to the pub / staithe. Location, house. Just the best place to unwind and watch the weather blow past the enormous windows.
Will look forward to coming back again, and again, and again.
Great location, comfy beds , well equipped kitchen, enclosed garden, lovely and peaceful. Love the location, great for coastal walks, used the coast hopper bus everyday, everything we needed.
Our second stay at Bonnierigg and another wonderful week. The bungalow is well equipped, plenty of space for three generations to spread out, fantastic garden and the comfiest of beds. Bonnierigg is ideally located for seeing the North Norfolk sights - we never needed to be in the car for more than 20 mins and there is still loads left on our ‘to do’ list. The children have already asked to book again - we will be back!
Very spacious property with lots of outdoor space for our dogs. 2 patios, I’ve of which was ideal at night for the dogs as it was gated and had security lighting. Comfortable bed and sofas.
Great location, lovely bungalow , very clean and well equipped kitchen, very peaceful garden. Located for walking the coastal path from the door step and also 2 minutes from the coastal bus service which are a brilliant service, great hospitality at the White horse and jolly sailor pubs and we’ve been so lucky with great weather.
