An Easter in Norfolk

With much of the North Norfolk being an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the spring time is without a doubt a wonderful time to visit. With crocuses afoot, geese flying high and the days getting longer, all these moments enhance any Easter time traditions. It is a perfect time for families to spend time together, or a simple beach-side walk with your four-legged friend.

Sandringham – Easter Egg Trail – In aid of the East Air Ambulance

Easter Sunday 9th April, 10.30am-2.30pm

Find hidden clues around the Royal Parkland and enjoy a chocolate egg at the end of the trail provided by Kinnerton Confectionery. Tickets £3 per person online or alternatively make a donation to the Air Ambulance for £5, £10 or £15.

Tickets also available on the day from the Rotary Club tent near to the play area.

Holkham – Easter Fair

8th and 9th April 10am-4pm

This Easter, our seasonal fair will return to the Lady Elizabeth Wing showcasing the very best produce, gifts and crafts from over 50 local artisan producers.

There will be a tempting range of food and drink to fill up and feast on, including homemade jams, chutneys and cheeses, to fresh bread, cakes and a selection of your favourite beers, ciders and spirits. There will also be gifts and crafts from some of our region’s most talented makers. Free entry, parking charges apply – £5 per day

 

Holkham – Easter Fun and Trails – Toys, trails and cotton tails

Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th April, 10am-4pm.

With cottontail trails and Velveteen tales, every bunny is hopping to Holkham this Easter. We’ve got Gnaw chocolate by the basketful, a box full of toys, and activities aplenty in Holkham Hall, Holkham Stories and Holkham Walled Garden.

Plus, a chance to fill up and feast with our Easter Food, Drink and Gift market, where you’ll find over 50 local and regional artisan producers showcasing their very best produce, gifts and crafts.

 

Holkham – Easter Family Bike Ride

Good Friday 7th April – From 10am – 1pm

Enjoy a leisurely 5K cycling route or a more energetic 12K cycle around Holkham Hall to raise funds for Heritage House day care centre. £5 entry fee – children under 16 ride free

 

Hunstanton – Soap Box Derby

2 April

Nearly 50 home-built karts took part in the last Soap Box Derby held in Hunstanton in 2019. Now that the pandemic has passed, the borough council is bringing back the event. Easter-themed karts will race down the streets of Hunstanton starting on Greevegate then twisting and turning their way to Beach Terrace Road.

 

Pensthorpe – The Great Easter Eggsploration

Take part in the family-fun Easter egg hunt with plenty of other activities like a mini treasure hunt around WildRootz outdoor play, free arts and crafts, and Pensthorpe Explorer Tours. It’s all included in the standard admission price.

 

Wells & Walsingham Light Railway – White Rabbit Easter Trail

During the four day Easter weekend

Get a quiz sheet for children to spot characters from Alice in Wonderland while they ride the Wells & Walsingham Light Railway. During the four day Easter weekend, complete the sheet for £1 and get an Easter Egg.

 

Morston Quay – Easter Egg Hunt

7 – 10 April

The Easter trail at Morston Quay is a fun opportunity to explore the beautiful coastal landscape and wildlife. The trail offers a range of nature-inspired activities for the whole family. And for just £3 per child, you’ll get a trail map, pencil, and a delicious chocolate egg at the end of the trail.

 

Norfolk Tank Museum – Easter Egg Hunt Special

8 April

The day starts with Easter crafts at 11:00 and the egg hunts at 12:000. There will be vehicle rides after the hunts have finished. You can enjoy the usual Museum Exhibits, including the Chieftain and Saladin Turret Tours all day too. Adults are £8, accompanied children Under 10 are free, and other children are £4.

 

Blickling – Easter Egg Hunt – Blickling Estate

April 1 to 17 – 10am to 5pm

Taking place across three weeks, Blickling Estate’s egg hunt includes a trail map, bunny ears, a pencil and a chocolate egg at the end, plus many more activities to keep the whole family occupied.

A decade-long quest to try a scone from every National Trust location saw Blickling Estate . £3 per child

 

Sheringham Park – Easter Egg Hunt

1 – 17 April

The Easter trail at Sheringham Park is a fun and nature-inspired activity for the whole family, You can make your way along the trail and enjoy a range of activities set within the beautiful woodland of Sheringham Park. And for just £3 per child, you’ll get a trail map, pencil, and a yummy chocolate egg at the end of the trail!

 

Whitwell & Reepham Railway Station –  Easter Egg Hunt 

April 8 – 10am to 3pm

Advance Ticket: £5.50 per child (includes a train ride for one adult and one child)
On the day ticket: £6.50 per child (includes a train ride for one adult and one child)

Along with train rides, colouring sheets, a raffle and plenty of entertainment, Whitwell & Reepham Railway Station will be the perfect place to get lost in as you follow their treasure map to the secret prize.

Food and drink options will be available all day and the station encourages everyone to make and bring their very own Easter bonnet.

 

Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure – Dippy’s Egg-cellent Easter at

1 – 17 April

Have fun with Dippy and friends at ROARR! The whole Park will be decorated for Easter and you can help Dippy find the missing Easter eggs hidden around the park.

 

Oxburgh Hall – Easter Egg Hunt

1 – 17 April

Head over to Oxburgh Estate and explore their beautiful gardens on a nature-inspired Easter trail! For just £3 per trail, you’ll receive an Easter trail sheet, pencil, bunny ears and a delicious chocolate egg (suitable for those with milk, egg, gluten, peanut and tree nut allergies) that’s responsibly sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms.

During the trail, you’ll get to help the gardeners record the weather in the Kitchen Garden, test your throwing skills by seeing how far you can throw a welly over the lawns, and show off your artistic side by using the nature all around you.

There’s no need to book in advance, and normal admission charges apply for the property.

 

Felbrigg Hall – Easter Egg Hunt

1 – 17 April

Treat your little ones to a world of adventures at Felbrigg Hall for Easter. Make your way along the adventure trail, finding nature-inspired activities for the whole family while you explore the beautiful West Garden and woodland of Felbrigg Hall

Normal admission charges apply (National Trust members are free), but you don’t need to book in advance. The price of the trail is £3 per child and includes a trail map, pencil and a chocolate egg at the end.
