Heron Cottage is a superb beautifully presented Norfolk family holiday home, recently renovated throughout and extended, enviably situated in a peaceful coastal location in the highly sought after village of Thornham, away from busy roads, with easy access to the coastal path. Throughout the year, this is a great place to accommodate family groups with five spacious bedrooms and four bathrooms, with plenty of separate living areas for all generations to enjoy; including three sitting rooms, dining room and a fabulous kitchen. In the winter it's ideal for two or three couples wishing to explore the beauty of the stunning Norfolk coastline, with the advantage of being within walking distance of several excellent places to eat and drink. Outside at the back of the house is a lovely large south facing lawned garden with plenty of space for children to play or adults to relax, with ample off-road parking space for cars and boats at the front.

Accommodation

Ground Floor

Entrance is via the side of the house into a spacious hall where there's plenty of space for coats and boots storage. This leads into the kitchen from one side and into the games room from the other side.

Kitchen: a fabulous newly renovated room with York flagstones and underfloor heating. Equipped to a really high standard with a new Rangemaster oven, Fisher Paykel fridge/freezer, separate wine fridge, integral dishwasher, built-in combi microwave and a Nespresso coffee machine. There's a sociable breakfast bar with bar stools and a sofa.

Dining room: light and spacious area with a large wooden table and ten chairs, wooden sideboard and glazed doors leading to the sitting room.

Sitting room: newly created room with French doors opening out to the lovely garden. There's a huge comfy sofa, armchair, Smart TV, foot stool.

Snug sitting room: a cosy room with an open fire, velvet sofa and armchair, and a leather armchair.

Bedroom 4: newly created room which is beautifully presented with Neptune furniture. Contains a king-size bed, bedside tables and lamps, a chest of drawers, desk and a chair.

Shower room: new walk-in shower, hand basin, WC and heated towel rail.

Games/TV room: a wonderful light and airy room overlooking the garden which has a pool table, sofa and a large Smart TV. There are two Fat Boy beanbags for use indoors or out. There's a staircase leading up to the children's bedroom.

This is a great area away from the rest of the house for the young to escape to with the advantage of a games room, large bedroom and shower room.

Shower room: new with a walk-in shower, hand basin, heated towel rail and WC.

First Floor Above Games Room

Children's Room (Bedroom 5): Accessed from the games room via a new staircase leading directly into the bedroom (there's no door).
Cleverly designed with three new bespoke built-in beds which are all 4' wide (small double size) making them perfect for adults or children. There are an additional two pull-out beds which may be used if requested at the time of booking.

First Floor

The staircase leads up from the dining area and is not steep with a hand-rail. All three bedrooms are light and airy with lovely open views from the front of the house across towards the marshes and out to sea.

Bedroom 1: spacious room with a super king-size bed, bedside tables and lamps, chest of drawers and a built-in wardrobe.

En-suite bathroom: newly renovated with twin wash basins, bath with shower mixer taps, heated towel rail and WC.

Bedroom 2: another lovely room with a king-size bed, bedside table and lamp, built-in wardrobe and a chest of drawers.

Bedroom 3: light and spacious with twin beds, bedside table and lamp, chest of drawers and a built-in wardrobe..

Shower room: has been newly fitted with a shower, hand basin, heated towel rail and WC.

Outside

Heron Cottage is located along The Green which is a lovely quiet location away from the coast road. There is a large grassed area immediately outside the house with plenty of parking space for cars and boats.

There is a large private rear garden which is mainly lawned and well-maintained with a good variety of shrubs and plants. There is a gas barbecue for guests to use. It is within walking distance of the Norfolk coastal path and all of Thornham's amenities which include a choice of excellent pubs, children's play area, tennis court, Thornham deli and cafe.

Please note that although this property will not accept dogs, the owners do have one dog who stays here.
