The Cottage is a refurbished traditional cottage with lovely views out towards the sea from the side garden. Under new ownership in 2023 this charming cottage has been reconfigured to create a comfortable holiday home for six with plenty of living space. Downstairs there's a spacious kitchen/breakfast, large sitting room and modern shower room. Upstairs there are three lovely bedrooms and a further shower room. Outside there's the advantage of a south facing enclosed walled garden and an enclosed side garden enjoying fabulous coastal views and providing off-street parking for two cars. The picturesque harbour, coastal path and excellent local pub, The Hero, are easily reached on foot.

Ground Floor
Entrance via the side door into the kitchen.Kitchen/breakfast room: a spacious room with doors opening out to the south facing walled garden, with the kitchen at one end and the dining area at the other.
Kitchen has lovely views across open fields and is equipped with a Zanussi oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave and a counter-top dishwasher.
The dining area has two leather armchairs; a large wooden dining table which comfortably seats six with four chairs and a bench seat.
Shower room: with a shower, hand basin and WC.
Sitting room: wonderful period room with painted beams and a large brick fireplace housing a wood-burning stove. There are two leather sofas, velvet armchair, coffee table and a wall-mounted Smart TV. There's the advantage of a piano which guests may use (with care please). There is a round table ideal for playing board games with two chairs and window seating. There are books and games for guests to use.
A door from the sitting room leads into a useful porch area with coat hooks and bench seats.
There's an under-stairs cupboard housing the vacuum cleaner, ironing board and a baby bath if needed.
A new gently turning wooden staircase to the first floor has been installed.
First Floor:
All the bedrooms have new bedroom furniture and face south.
Bedroom 1: has limed oak king-size bed, bedside tables and lamps, chest of drawers and a wardrobe. A coffee machine with pods and a Roberts radio are provided for guests to enjoy.
Bedroom 2: has full-size twin beds, bedside tables and lamps, a tall-boy, Roberts radio and coat hooks.
Bedroom 3: has a king-size bed, bedside chest of drawers with lamps and Roberts radio. .
Shower room: walk-in shower, hand basin, WC and heated towel rail.
Outside
Access to the house is via a newly laid driveway at the side of the cottage. There is parking for up to two cars here. This side garden is fully enclosed and overlooks open fields enjoying lovely views across to the coast. Outside the kitchen door is a paved area with outdoor seating to take advantage of the stunning view.
At the front of the cottage is a walled south-facing garden, which is a real sun-trap, with a raised lawn area and patio with outside cube furniture. There is a door leading to the porch.
The beauty of this house is its proximity to the staithe only a short walk away where you can catch the ferry over to Scolt Head island, go crabbing, paddle, swim or walk along the path across the creeks to the glorious sandy beach.
It is only a few minutes walk to the excellent local pub (The Hero) , the playing fields with childrens' playground and tennis courts.
