The Old Stores is a beautifully presented period cottage which has been tastefully furnished in a contemporary coastal style. This deceptively spacious cottage has plenty of living space with a fabulous light and airy kitchen, a lovely sitting room and attractive garden room overlooking the private fully enclosed landscaped garden. Its three charming bedrooms are all quite separate from each other, two being on the ground floor, with a superb master en-suite bedroom upstairs. It is conveniently situated in the picturesque village of Stanhoe with open field and pond views, off-street parking and within walking distance of an excellent village pub, The Duck Inn, and a children's playground. It is only 5 minutes' drive from the Georgian village of Burnham Market and 10 minutes to the beautiful coast.
One small dog accepted at this property.


The Old Stores | Sitting room

Ground Floor

Entrance: this is from the back of the cottage into the garden room.

Garden Room: a light room with a high glazed roof, making this a lovely spot to sit and look out over the garden. There is a comfortable sofa, table and lamp and double doors opening out to the decked area.

Kitchen/breakfast room: a fabulous light and airy room with a high glazed roof section and oak flooring. There is a duck egg blue kitchen well-equipped with fully integrated appliances which include a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, Bosch induction hob, double electric Neff ovens, microwave and plenty of cupboard space. There is a large dining table with 8 chairs.

There is a handy Utility walk-in cupboard with washing machine and the oil-fired boiler.

Sitting Room: a lovely spacious room with exposed beams, oak flooring and a feature brick fireplace housing a cream wood burning stove. There are two large sofas, coffee table, occasional lamps, well-stocked bookcase and a large Smart TV. The wooden staircase to the master bedroom leads up from here.

There is the advantage of free Wifi provided in The Old Stores.

Bedroom 2: accessed from the sitting room and is beautifully presented with a view of the duck pond. There is a wrought iron double bed with bedside tables and lamps, a chest of drawers and a wardrobe.

Bedroom 3: accessed from the kitchen and is well-presented with wrought iron twin beds, bedside chest and lamps and a wardrobe

Shower room: contemporary walk-in shower, heated towel rail, WC and hand basin.

First Floor

The stairs are not steep and lead up from the sitting room to the master bedroom suite.

Bedroom 1: light and airy room with views across the duck pond. Beautifully presented with a king-size bed, bedside tables and lamps, chest of drawers and clothes hanging space.

Bathroom: a spacious bathroom with a bath, separate walk-in shower, hand basin, WC and heated towel rail.


There is a shingle drive to the side of the cottage with parking for one car. There are no parking restrictions and additional cars may be parked on the road outside the cottage. but please note this may not be suitable for very wide cars or large 4x4s.

There is a pretty cottage-style garden which is a good size and backs on to a meadow at the far end. The garden is fully fenced and is completely dog-proof. It has been landscaped to include a decked area with outside furniture and a barbecue, as well as paved and shingled areas with a selection of plants, shrubs and grasses.

The popular Duck Inn is only two minutes walk away, and the beautiful coast can be reached within a 10 minute drive.

3 night break: 70% of full week price
4 night break: 80% of full week price
5 night break: 90% of full week price

3/4/5 day short breaks are not usually available during school holiday periods.

Prices may be subject to change.

Please note that where dogs are permitted the standard charge is £20.00 per week or part week; however some cottage owners request a higher amount and this will be specified in the individual property description.
