Holmhurst is a substantial detached brick and carrstone period house. It is ideally situated on the edge of Thornham village within a short walk of The Yurt and Drove Orchards, and only 5-10 minutes walk to Thornham's village deli, Orange Tree and other places to eat. There is also the great advantage of a safe and easy walk (or bicycle) along the nearby footpath to the glorious sandy beach, which takes about 20 minutes.

Please note that during peak holiday times, this option using only 4 bedrooms is not available as the whole house with 6 bedrooms must be booked.

Ground Floor

Entrance Hall

Kitchen/Dining Room: Wonderful spacious room with a fitted kitchen at one end and a large table comfortably seating 12 at the other end. Range Cooker, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave and American style fridge freezer.

Under floor heating downstairs.

Utility Room/Cloakroom: with washing machine, tumble dryer, WC and hand basin.

Children's Room/TV room: High-ceilinged sitting room with 2 sofas, TV and DVD.

Sitting Room: Attractive room with open fireplace, 2 sofas and a TV and DVD.

First Floor

Bedroom 1: Light and spacious room with a 6 foot sleigh bed etc. En-suite shower room: Walk-in shower, hand basin,WC and heated towel rail.

Bedroom 2: Spacious room with field views. Twin beds, bedside table and lamp, wardrobe and TV.

Bedroom 3: Twin beds, bedside table and lamp, chest of drawers.

Bedroom 4: Double bed, bedside table and lamp, dressing table and chair.

Bathroom: Bath with power shower , hand basin, WC and heated towel rail.

Staircase (not steep) with a hand rail.

There is a hairdryer.

Second Floor

Bathroom: Bath, electric shower, hand basin, WC and heated towel rail.

(Please note that there are 2 bedrooms on this floor which are not included in this rental.)

Outside

There is a driveway leading off the coast road to Holmhurst with a 5 bar gate and plenty of parking space at the front of the house.

At the back of the house is an enclosed garden which is mainly lawned with some mature trees and shrubs. Please do not climb over the fence to access teh farm shop. There is a terrace with outside furniture and a barbecue (charcoal).

Please note that whilst a well behaved dog is acceptable at the property, they are not permitted upstairs or on furniture.

PLEASE NOTE: Low season short breaks will be charged at a minimum 80% of the weekly rate (ie a 4-night break charge).

3 night break: 70% of full week price
4 night break: 80% of full week price
5 night break: 90% of full week price

3/4/5 day short breaks are not usually available during school holiday periods.

Please note that where dogs are permitted the standard charge is £20.00 per week or part week; however some cottage owners request a higher amount and this will be specified in the individual property description.
