Dogger Inn is a carefully restored charismatic Grade II listed Georgian cottage which is beautifully presented and has a wealth of original features. This charming quirky cottage dates back to 1650 when it was run as a public house for over 200 years, before its transformation into a stylish and luxurious holiday home. This is a superb place to stay for up to six people with plenty of living space, including two lovely sitting rooms and a separate games room. It is conveniently situated in the heart of Wells-next-the-Sea, with one private parking space and an attractive enclosed lawned garden, within a short walk of the harbour and a great selection of shops and restaurants.
Reduced rates are available outside school holiday periods for under-occupancy.
Accommodation

Ground Floor
Entrance Hall: has original wooden floorboards and plenty of space for coats storage.
Cloakroom: with hand basin and WC.
There is a sociable open plan kitchen/breakfast room which leads through down a couple of steps to a comfortable high-ceilinged family room. The games room is accessed off the family room. There is the bonus of wifi provided throughout the cottage.
Kitchen/breakfast room: a modern fitted kitchen with an island with contemporary bar stools. The kitchen is well-equipped with a gas oven with hob, integral microwave, dishwasher, integral under counter fridge, integral under counter freezer, washing machine and a tumble dryer. There is a dining table with bench seating for 6 people.
Family room: a wonderful full height room with exposed beams and an attractive ceiling fan. There is a huge comfy L-shaped sofa, a large flat-screen TV with BT Vision and Sports package, a rocking horse and a selection of toys and games.
Games Room: a fantastic additional room which has a full-size table football table and a pool table. This is a perfect den with a drinks fridge and an ipod docking station.
Sitting Room: a charming room at the other end of the cottage with an original beamed ceiling and a wonderful large inglenook working fireplace. There is a new comfy sofa, two armchairs, a well-stocked bookcase and table lamps.
First Floor
There are two staircases in Dogger Inn: the main staircase from the hall is fairly steep (with a fixed hand rail on one side and a rope hand rail on the other side), whilst the second staircase is a very steep Norfolk winder staircase and should only be used with care (it is not necessary to use this second staircase!)
All bedrooms are beautifully presented and supplied with luxurious bed linen and towels.
Bedroom 1: A gorgeous master bedroom which really does have the "wow factor" with its high ceiling with exposed beams and cleverly designed en-suite bathroom. There is a king-size bed, bedside tables and lamps, dressing table and carefully constructed built-in cupboards to provide plenty of storage space. From the sleeping area it leads directly into the en-suite bathroom: with free-standing bath, walk-in shower, stone wash basin, hand basin and WC.
Bedroom 2: A second double room which has a fabric upholstered double bed, bedside table and lamps and a wardrobe.
Bedroom 3: Has fabric upholstered twin beds, a wardrobe and a storage unit.
Bathroom: an attractive blue and white tiled room with a bath with shower mixer taps, hand basin, heated towel rail and a WC.
There is a door to the second steep winding staircase which leads down from the far end of the landing.
Please note that a travel cot and highchair are available at this property.
Outside
There is the advantage of private off-street parking for one car in a low roofed cart shed, but care should be taken when parking taller vehicles.
There is a west facing fully enclosed and sheltered lawned garden with a patio area, garden furniture and a barbecue, making this an ideal spot for an evening drink or supper to enjoy the evening's sunshine.
Dogger Inn is perfectly located to stroll down to the sandy beaches at Wells and Holkham. It's only 2 minutes walk to the quay and the beach can be reached by road, on foot along the causeway or via the miniature railway.
It is within walking distance of all of Wells' shops and other amenities, such as the renowned Crown Hotel and the newly restored Golden Fleece on the harbour.
