Commodores House is a spacious 5 bedroomed detached house which enjoys distant sea views from the first and second floors. This is a perfect house for 2 families to share, with the accommodation cleverly designed with the light and airy living areas on the first floor, three beautifully presented bedrooms on the ground floor, and a further two lovely bedrooms on the top floor. It is conveniently situated down a lane off the coast road in the heart of Thornham, only minutes walk from the coastal path leading out to the glorious sandy beach. It is also within a short walk of The Lifeboat Inn, an excellent village deli, children's playground, tennis court and two other good places to eat and drink.

Please note that outside school holidays, Commodores House may be rented at reduced rates without the second floor bedrooms

Ground Floor

Bedroom 3: smaller room with a double bed, bedside lamp, TV, chest of drawers and a wardrobe.

Shower Room: contemporary walk-in shower, hand basin, WC and heated towel rail.

Utility Room: useful room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, sink and additional cupboard space.

Garden Room: The ideal place to escape to for some peace and quiet! Overlooking the garden with comfortable wicker sofas and doors leading outside.

First Floor

The stairs are not steep and there is a hand rail.

Sitting Room: Light and spacious well-presented room with distant sea views, a flame-effect electric fire, large L-shaped sofa, armchair, Bang Olafson TV, DVD player and a selection of DVDs. A land-line telephone is available for use on an honesty box basis. There are glass doors leading into...

Dining Room: Dining table seating up to 10 people and a well-stocked dresser.

Kitchen: Light and airy and well-equipped with a Rangemaster electric cooker, halogen hob, microwave, integral microwave, full-size fridge, freezer and dishwasher. There's a good-sized kitchen table with 6 chairs.

Cloakroom: with WC and hand basin.

Second Floor

The stairs are not steep and there is a hand rail. On the landing is a wardrobe.

Bedroom 4: Beautifully presented room with sea views. There is a 6' double bed, bedside table and lamps, dressing table, TV and DVD player.

Bedroom 5: Twin beds, bedside table, chest of drawers.

Bathroom: Bath with shower mixer taps, hand basin and WC.


There is plenty of parking in the shingle drive at the front of the house or down the shingle driveway to the side.

The back garden is fully enclosed and part paved and part lawned. There is garden furniture and a barbecue. It's only a short walk onto the coastal path leading out to the sandy beach, or to renowned Lifeboat Inn.
