Commodores House is a spacious detached house which enjoys distant sea views from the first and second floors. There is the option to rent this lovely house for up to six guests, with the use of the three beautifully presented ground floor bedrooms and the spacious first floor living area (without the second floor bedrooms) outside school holiday periods at reduced rates. It is conveniently situated down a lane off the coast road in the heart of Thornham, only minutes walk from the coastal path leading out to the glorious sandy beach. It is also within a short walk of The Lifeboat Inn, an excellent village deli, children's playground, tennis court and two other good places to eat and drink.

During peak school holiday periods Commodores House may only be rented with all 5 bedrooms

Ground Floor

Bedroom 1: beautifully presented spacious room with super king-size bed, bedside tables and lamps, built-in wardrobes, dressing table and TV. En-suite shower room with walk-in shower, hand basin, WC and heated towel rail.

Bedroom 2: attractive room with king-size bed, bedside tables and lamps, TV, wardrobe.

Bedroom 3: smaller room with a double bed, bedside lamp, TV, chest of drawers and a wardrobe.

Shower Room: contemporary walk-in shower, hand basin, WC and heated towel rail.

Utility Room: useful room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, sink and additional cupboard space.

Garden Room: The ideal place to escape to for some peace and quiet! Overlooking the garden with comfortable wicker sofas and doors leading outside.

First Floor

The stairs are not steep and there is a hand rail.

Sitting Room: Light and spacious well-presented room with distant sea views, a flame-effect electric fire, large L-shaped sofa, armchair, Bang Olafson TV, DVD player and a selection of DVDs. A land-line telephone is available for use on an honesty box basis. There are glass doors leading into...

Dining Room: Dining table seating up to 10 people and a well-stocked dresser.

Kitchen: Light and airy and well-equipped with a Rangemaster electric cooker, halogen hob, microwave, integral microwave, full-size fridge, freezer and dishwasher. There's a good-sized kitchen table with 6 chairs.

Please note that there is a travel cot and a high chair available for guests to use if required.

Cloakroom: with WC and hand basin.

Second Floor - not available


There is plenty of parking in the shingle drive at the front of the house or down the shingle driveway to the side.

The back garden is fully enclosed and part paved and part lawned. There is garden furniture and a barbecue. It's only a short walk onto the coastal path leading out to the sandy beach, or to renowned Lifeboat Inn.
