A perfect spot to watch the sun going down and hit the sea on a fine evening. The village enjoys a range of small shops, arcade, cafe and fish bar. There are three local pubs The West Norfolk, Fox and Hounds and Bushel and Strike.

Just next door is Farmer Freds Adventure Play Barn for children and parents to enjoy indoor play farm themed fun, as well as a great Farm Shop selling lovely local produce.

History

Famed for association with Pocahontas, the Rolfe family are the most famous inhabitants of Heacham, from the 16th century. After seeking adventure in The New World it was John Rolfe who married the Native American Rebecca (Pocahontas), and along with their 2 year old son took them back to his family home the former Heacham Hall. The image of Pocahontas adorns the village sign and also the St Mary's the Virgin Church.

For a great family day out and only a few miles away is Snettisham Park Farm. A working Farm with lovely activities for the family from egg collecting, bottle feeding lambs and pony rides to a ‘not to be missed’ deer Safari.
