The Hobbs - 04/10/2019

The owner has thought of everything that is needed to stay at Washington Lodge, and this ensured a truly relaxing stay. Clean property, comfy beds, tranquil location and the beach only a few strides away make this a little gem of a holiday rental. With comfy beds and lounge area really well laid out, and the garden is a super sunny spot too! Thank you for allowing us to stay in such a super property.

A lovely house and beautiful place to stay, we really enjoyed it!

Kemp Party - 23/08/2019

It was a really lovely homey caravan. The location was amazing. The treats on arrival were a really nice touch. The towels were all brand new which was also nice. The furnishings and fittings were nicer than most static caravans and it was spotlessly clean. The location was right in the dunes on the beach, quiet setting, very clean/smart. We would stay again!

Pfrang Party - 09/08/2019

We have had a lovely week in your super lodge which had everything we needed. Also we had good weather which is a plus. The lodge is in a lovely setting which is lovely and quiet. Thank you also for the goodies you left us. Thank you.

Williamson family - 28/06/2019

Just a note to let you know how much we have enjoyed our stay at Washington Lodge. We love its location with the beach just the other side of the dunes and the roar of the sea which can be heard from the lounge area. Our dogs have enjoyed sunning themselves on the verandah and we've had peace of mind knowing that this area is totally enclosed. All the facilities have everything you need: showers, microwave, comfy bed, fridge and also all nice and clean. We really didn't want to go home! Rest assured we WILL be back!

Jason and Lisa Holmes - 17/06/2019

Our stay was amazing. We loved the doors opening onto the verandah and you could even hear the sea. So peaceful sitting in the lounge hearing the waves crashing. The lodge felt so homely and the location is peaceful and relaxing. We didn’t want to go home!

Heacham

Location

Heacham is a large village located on the West Norfolk coast and home to two sandy beaches originally called North and South beach.Heacham has historic ties to Pocahontas who married John Rolfe, a native of this village on 5 April 1614 at a church in Jamestown, Virginia! The Church of St Mary the Virgin is the oldest surviving building in the village. It dates from 1230 and is Norman  in style. In the cupola on the tower hangs a bell dating from about 1100, making it the oldest in East Anglia, and the seventh oldest in the country.  The beaches at Heacham are on the east banks of The Wash. They are among the few beaches in eastern England where the sun sets over the sea instead of over the land. A perfect spot for a romantic glass of wine! There is a wide selection of shops and pubs and the delightful Heacham Manor Hotel with its 18 hole golf course. Also in Heacham is Caley Mill which is an early 19th century water mill and now the site of Norfolk Lavender which has all the known varieties of lavender and is open to the public. For the smaller people in your party, take a trip to Farmer Fred's Adventure Play Barn with it's 3D farm themed adventure fun!!  The village has three pubs, The West Norfolk, The Fox & Hounds and The Bushel & Strike.
