Tern Cottage is a delightful Norfolk coastal cottage, only a short walk to the excellent White Horse local pub, and ten minutes walk along footpaths to reach the lovely sandy beach at Holme and the nearby Norfolk Wildlife Trust Reserve. This spacious end of terrace cottage provides accommodation for four guests over 3 floors, with a King bedroom to the first floor with south facing balcony and a further spacious twin bedroom to the second floor. On the ground floor there is a spacious entrance dining room leading through to a bright, charming sitting room with wood burning stove, there is a well-equipped kitchen with tradition Norfolk cupboard stairs. It is ideally located close to the coast with the advantage of having a separate small enclosed garden and an outhouse with washing facilities and ideal for storing bikes. The village is on the Norfolk Coastal Path and Peddars Way and perfect location for keen walkers and cyclists.

Ground Floor
Entrance hall/ Dining Room: A bright and airy entrance with farmhouse dining table, chairs and wrap around bench seating. Leads through to
Sitting Room: Spacious and beautifully presented with two comfortable sofas and a wood burning stove, Smart TV, coffee table, shelves with a selection of books. This room leads through into the kitchen.
Kitchen: Well-equipped with wooden work-tops, slimline integrated dish-washer, fridge with ice box, microwave, electric oven and hob, with under stairs utility storage and larder. There is a door to the staircase.
First Floor
There is a steep Norfolk winder staircase leading upstairs with a handrail.
Bedroom 1: A lovely room with a king size bed, bedside tables and lamps, wardrobe, dressing table and chair, hairdryer and the window opens up with access to the roof terrace with bistro table and chairs making for a nice spot for sunnier days to enjoy breakfast alfresco.
Bathroom: contains a bath with shower over, hand basin, WC and heated towel rail.
Second Floor
Bedroom 2: A bright spacious room with twin single beds, bedside table and lamp, storage and a selection of toys and games.
There is a steep Norfolk winder staircase leading upstairs with a handrail.
Note: There is a travel cot, high chair and dog crate available (these are stored in the outhouse).
Outside
Although there is no dedicated off-street parking, it is usually possible to park directly outside the cottage. Access is via a shingled pathway to the side of the cottage.
Immediately outside the side door is an separate enclosed garden area with small table and chairs which are stored in the outhouse. Outhouse: with washing machine, tumble dryer and sink, an ideal place for storing bikes.

Beach
A pretty village which is a hidden gem located on the North Norfolk Heritage Coast. Holme has an expansive flat sandy beach, ideal for beach games and sand castles during low tide.
In Autumn Holme Dunes is a great area to spot migrating birds from the NWT Nature reserve with a number of hides and trails.
Village
Holme is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is also where the 50-mile Roman Peddars Way walking route meets the North Norfolk Coastal Path. The village is also on the coastal hopper bus route for those of you that wish to travel the coast line. In the centre of the village is the traditional White Horse pub which has a splendid garden with play area to enjoy a bite to eat on a fine day.
History
As well as various military remains from the Second World War that can be glimpsed from the Nature Reserve, the beach is famous for the 1998 discovery of a hidden Bronze Age timber circle known as ‘Sea Henge’. Now on view at Kings Lynn Museum.
Visit
Old Hunstanton is the neighbouring village and the Golf club course boarders onto Holme. Old Hunstanton has some great eateries, lighthouse and fabulous walks along the unspoilt beaches. Hunstanton has its iconic striped cliffs, many amusements, Sea-life centre, leisure pool and traditional promenade. There is also a horse riding stables close by too!

All Sowerbys holiday cottages are supplied with bed linen and towels and the cost of heating is included in the rental price.
Electric Vehicle charging
Cars may only be charged if there is an EV charging point fitted at the property. The cost of electricity is NOT included in the rental price and Sowerbys Holiday Cottages must be notified if the charger is used and an additional surcharge will be made. Due to insurance purposes, guests must never charge their car using a standard outdoor plug or an extension cable linking to a domestic plug. This is not permitted because of fire regulations regarding wiring, earthing rods and voltage restrictions; it poses a serious fire risk to standard 13 amp sockets and there is a real danger that the body of the vehicle could become live.
