We had an absolutely fab time thankyou, and yes the weather was really good. We couldn't have asked for better...Jess loved it too, although she is 12 she was like a puppy on Brancaster beach. We had a lovely meal at The Railway Inn and had some lovely sandwiches from the crab hut at Brancaster Staithe....we have a really busy time ahead , but dont worry we will be back. It is such a well positioned cottage for everywhere and the cooking facilities are fab too. Thank you x

Susan and Jess the dog - 17/06/2019

Beautiful cottage, ideal location even the weather obliged for the 4 nights we stayed. Uut every day so many places to visit and so many are dog friendly. I think the dogs had a better holiday than we did and we had a very good short break. Highly recommend your lovely cottage. Thank you for the wine!

Just wanted to say what another great stay we had at Hilltop! We loved that the family photo had been updated and it's such a lovely home from home which you sometimes don't get with holiday lets. We're already trying to work out when we can visit again.

Lovely cottage - perfect for our short stay. Has wonderful weather so not in much! Pizza van and chippy both a hit with our boys. The Hero and Burnham over Staithe is a lovely spot.

Alison, Simon, Rohan and Finan - 23/04/2019

Our second stay here and the weather was beautiful. We went to Brancaster beach, had lunch at The Golden Lion in Hunstanton with lovely views across the sea. Visited Burnham Market. Lovely long walk at Sandringham on the Sunday with free parking. Jess really enjoyed sunning herself in the lovely garden. The Prosecco is a lovely touch. You have to buy the local sausages and eggs from The Spar - they are fab - but for a bigger shop the Tesco in Hunstanton is ideal. Hope to be back next year.

Excellent cottage, very well specced and maintained - fantastic beach - looking forward to booking again in the future.

Loved the cottage, beautiful part of the world and great for exploring. Had a marvellous meal at The Gin Trap, fabulous quality and value. See you again.

Rob, wife and two grandchildren, Derbyshire  - 26/10/2018

We got home yesterday evening after a superb four days in Norfolk. Your cottage is delightful and beautifully setup. Everything worked! Loved the clever retractable dog / children gate. Thanks for the Fizz!

Docking is a superb spot. That SPAR is brilliant, and proximity to the wonderful beaches is amazing. Sadly we missed the local chippy because they close at 8.00, which is the peak time for our local chippy! Eric's fish & chip shop is superb, I would suggest eating there since despite the relatively short drive back to Docking, the food was nearly cold by the time I was back.

Anyway, thanks... We had a great time and we hope to come back again.

Mike Lunch - 24/09/2018

Our stay was lovely. The cottage is fantastic and I can’t recommend it enough.
Thank you so much for letting us stay.

Lucy Nesbitt - 21/09/2018

"We got back from Norfolk yesterday and just wanted to say thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful cottage. We had a fabulous time - weather stayed dry and lots to see and do. The Railway Inn Pub is great and so nearby! We would definitely like to return so will be in touch to book again if that's ok - hopefully in the early part of next year! Thanks again - we loved Hilltop.

Emma and Iain Stephen - 07/09/2018

We had a lovely week - thank you. Your cottage is absolutely delightful and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Especially the lovely wood burner in the chilly evenings. What a beautiful area - the beaches were amazing.

The Ovingtons - 01/09/2018

Brilliant cottage with great facilities. Wells, Brancaster and Cromer a must – sadly no seals. The village pub a must even did scrambled egg for the dog. Chip shop and pizza van excellent. See if you can find the secret beach??

Maria, Taylor and Ted the dog - 24/08/2018

Lovely cottage - comfortable and great facilities. A lovely base to discover this beautiful area. 'Shucks' in Thornham highly recommended and a seal boat trip is a must!

Mike, Tracey, Jamie and Rollo - 10/08/2018

Wow! Absolutely gorgeous place. Thanks for the Prosecco – lovely touch. Walks from the door on quiet roads. Just a great area to explore Norfolk, Hunstanton, Wells and Brancaster. Disappointed not to see any seals. House really well equipped and comfortable. Village shop and pub great and saves travelling miles for one. Would highly recommend this property. Thanks very much. The dogs loved it

Simon, Collette, Jess and Belle - 13/07/2018

Clare, Sharon and Pip the dog - 21/05/2018

Thank you so much for letting us stay in your cottage it was just perfect we had the BEST time. Thanks so much for the fizz that was so lovely of you.
We both want to book up again next year and take our men so they can fall in love with it too!! Ha ha. It's just far enough from the hustle and bustle but so close to the beach.
We went to Brancaster three times, Holkham to Wells one day then Sandringham yesterday which was superb. I go to Norfolk a lot and can't believe now that I've never thought of going there.
The Docking fish and chips were super and I have never seen a spar that good before. The village has everything you need.
You really are lucky to have such a super place xxx

What a beautiful cottage, very well equipped, comfy and cosy. Ideal location. Bottle of Prosecco a nice touch! Thanks for letting us stay in your lovely cottage!

Phil and Dawn - 16/04/2018

A great weekend away at this lovely cottage conveniently located 4 miles from Brancaster. Village has all you need from a stay with a well stocked store, good chippy and pub that serves decent food at reasonable prices. Hellen was so accommodating when we were forced to cancel our original dates due to the heavy snow fall. The better half was most impressed with the bottle of prosecco provided for our arrival! Thanks, we will stay again when back in the area.

Phill and Dawn - 13/04/2018

Good quality beds, bedding and furnishings.
Everything felt fresh and clean.
Good Parking.
A lovely cottage - obviously a well loved home.

Docking

Location

All roads in North Norfolk seem to lead to Docking. It's a busy village with an excellent small supermarket and post office, a fish and chip shop, blacksmith, village pub, a large village playing field, tennis court and bowling green. It also has its own weekly village market every Wednesday morning at The Ripper Hall between 9am and 1pm, where a great selection of local produce is available. On Mondays freshly cooked wood-fired pizzas are available from Bordolis outside Ripper Hall - delicious! Docking also has its own coarse fishing lake that is available on a day ticket basis.

The village is perfectly placed for the North Norfolk Coast and its long, fine sandy beaches. Brancaster and The Royal West Norfolk Golf Club are about five miles away. There are two golf courses in Hunstanton, which is less than eight miles away. The Titchwell Bird Reserve, home to terns and waders is close by. The ultra fashionable Georgian village of Burnham Market, Sandringham and the market towns of Fakenham and King's Lynn are also nearby.
