Harbour View felt more spacious than we thought it would be. There was lots of space, clean and fresh feel. Lovely and warm. It was great to be able to book last minute (the day before), so thanks for your help with securing it for us. The small hamper when we arrived (including treats for our dog!) made us feel very welcome from the moment we stepped through the door. It really was a home from home with everything we needed and will definitely be back. Looked for October half term but it already booked.

The McDonalds family - 07/04/2017
Had a brilliant week despite the storm! Beautiful blue sky and sun at some point during each day. Lots of lovely walks to the beach. Stayed three years ago when I walked the coast with friends and thought the house was lovely then but the alterations are great and have made the house even more comfortable. It has such a lovely feel and the welcome pack is much appreciated. Been coming to Wells for 40 years and this is definitely the best place we have stayed. Thank you for sharing it.
The Bakers - 20/02/2017
Thank you for a lovely holiday in your beautiful home which has lots of nice touches. We enjoyed the wonderful beach every day and the car park is so conveniently right next to it which helps a lot with children and a puppy who could then spend the whole of their energy waling on the beach!! For a quirky but tasty meal we enjoyed the dutch pancakes on the Albatross boat. We also had lovely meals at the Golden Fleece, The Globe Inn and K's American Diner in town. The Raggedy Cat is a very sweet tea room also with lovely food. A very fun week for us all.
The Oberoi family + Rufus the dog - 17/02/2017

We have had an amazing week. Hot and sunny and after walking walking for miles along the coastal paths what a treat to come back to this beautiful huse at the end of every day.
Thank you for the gifts - very much appreciated. We love your house, the pictures, the candles, the cushions - all beautifully done.
We are sad to leave, it is so much more like a welcoming home that a holiday cottage! Difficult to find a place to match this.

Thank you for a wonderful welcome pack. Prosecco very much appreciated on the warm evenings we have spent in your lovely home.
We have had a great stay in Norfolk - my first time - and enjoyed the wide expanses of beach at Brancaster and Holkham Bay. My son enjoyed crabbing in Wells and I enjoyed the Wells Deli Coffee.
Hope to come back and explore moreof this coast one day. Too much to do in a few days. Best Wishes.

Wells-next-the-Sea
Location
Wells-next-the Sea is the runaway winner of the first Sunday Times "Beach of the Year" award. It's a delightful unspoilt historic town on the North Norfolk Coast with a jumble of old buildings and lanes still existing from its heritage as a port and former maltings industry. The picturesque quay and waterfront is still very much a working port with fishing boats still berthed in this small harbour and stalls selling locally caught shrimps, crabs and whelks. A popular place with sailors with many sailing and leisure craft here and local sailing tuition available. Children enjoy the facilities round the quay and the challenge of crabbing (gillying) from the steep harbour wall.
The main shopping area of Wells is Staithe Street, a narrow, mostly pedestrianised lane with surviving Victorian and Edwardian shop fronts, that runs from the water's edge right up to the top part of town. In the centre of the town is The Buttlands which is a large rectangular green lined with Georgian and late Victorian houses, which used to be used for archery practise in medieval days. Now it is home to the excellent Crown hotel and restaurant which is run by Kiwi celebrity chef
The sandy beach flanked by pine forest is about a mile from the quay and can be reached by road, on foot along the causeway or via the miniature railway.
Holkham Hall with its impressive 18th century Palladian architecture and 3,000 acre deer park is only a couple of miles away along the coast road.
