We have enjoyed a fantastic week here in Harbour View celebrating my brothers 50th birthday. Never been to this area so it has been very interesting and exciting discovering all the local places. Harbour View is a beautiful house - very comfortable, relaxing and well equipped. Thank you for the welcome pack of treats too. We hope to visit again!!

We have had a wonderful, brilliant time in this house and we are extremely upset to be leaving Harbour View. We all like are bedrooms, kitchen and particular our living room. This perfect property is clean somewhere to relax and when your really tired you can play Formula 1 that 3 of us like. Happy Easter!

The Landrays children - 13/04/2017

We have had a wonderful week in this lovely house. The weather has been perfect and we have been so comfortable in these really special surroundings. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

The McDonalds family - 07/04/2017

Had a brilliant week despite the storm! Beautiful blue sky and sun at some point during each day. Lots of lovely walks to the beach. Stayed three years ago when I walked the coast with friends and thought the house was lovely then but the alterations are great and have made the house even more comfortable. It has such a lovely feel and the welcome pack is much appreciated. Been coming to Wells for 40 years and this is definitely the best place we have stayed. Thank you for sharing it.

The Bakers - 20/02/2017

Thank you for a lovely holiday in your beautiful home which has lots of nice touches. We enjoyed the wonderful beach every day and the car park is so conveniently right next to it which helps a lot with children and a puppy who could then spend the whole of their energy waling on the beach!! For a quirky but tasty meal we enjoyed the dutch pancakes on the Albatross boat. We also had lovely meals at the Golden Fleece, The Globe Inn and K's American Diner in town. The Raggedy Cat is a very sweet tea room also with lovely food. A very fun week for us all.

The Oberoi family + Rufus the dog - 17/02/2017

Thank you for a wonderful stay. So very comfortable 'home from home'. What a lovely place to stay with breathtaking views and endless skies. We can recommend Holkham Beach and Holt (is so very Xmassy!)
Happy Holidays and a prosperous New Year.

We have had an amazing week. Hot and sunny and after walking walking for miles along the coastal paths what a treat to come back to this beautiful huse at the end of every day.
Thank you for the gifts - very much appreciated. We love your house, the pictures, the candles, the cushions - all beautifully done.
We are sad to leave, it is so much more like a welcoming home that a holiday cottage! Difficult to find a place to match this.

Anon - 08/08/2014

Thank you for a wonderful welcome pack. Prosecco very much appreciated on the warm evenings we have spent in your lovely home.

We have had a great stay in Norfolk - my first time - and enjoyed the wide expanses of beach at Brancaster and Holkham Bay. My son enjoyed crabbing in Wells and I enjoyed the Wells Deli Coffee.

Hope to come back and explore moreof this coast one day. Too much to do in a few days. Best Wishes.

Mary, Isobel and Daniel - 18/07/2014

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.
It has been like a home from home, we could not have asked for more.
Been so lucky with the weather too this week. Will definately be back!

Louisa, Bob & Henry - 11/07/2014

We have had a fantastic stay in your beautiful home and are sad to be leaving.

The attention to detail and lovely features make this place to remember.

Sadly the weather hasn't been great at tims but the cosy lounge with candles and throws made up for this!

The children were able to make full use of the games and DVD.

Thank you so much for the generous food and drink gifts, this was a lovely touch. I'm sure we will be back!

Wells-next-the-Sea

Location

Wells-next-the Sea is the runaway winner of the first Sunday Times "Beach of the Year" award. It's a delightful unspoilt historic town on the North Norfolk Coast with a jumble of old buildings and lanes still existing from its heritage as a port and former maltings industry. The picturesque quay and waterfront is still very much a working port with fishing boats still berthed in this small harbour and stalls selling locally caught shrimps, crabs and whelks. A popular place with sailors with many sailing and leisure craft here and local sailing tuition available. Children enjoy the facilities round the quay and the challenge of crabbing (gillying) from the steep harbour wall.

The main shopping area of Wells is Staithe Street, a narrow, mostly pedestrianised lane with surviving Victorian and Edwardian shop fronts, that runs from the water's edge right up to the top part of town. In the centre of the town is The Buttlands which is a large rectangular green lined with Georgian and late Victorian houses, which used to be used for archery practise in medieval days. Now it is home to the excellent Crown hotel and restaurant which is run by Kiwi celebrity chef Chris Coubrough, as well as the popular The Globe Inn.

The sandy beach flanked by pine forest is about a mile from the quay and can be reached by road, on foot along the causeway or via the miniature railway.

Holkham Hall with its impressive 18th century Palladian architecture and 3,000 acre deer park is only a couple of miles away along the coast road.
