Fulmar is a unique detached coastal house, quietly tucked away in the heart of the highly sought after village of Thornham, within walking distance of the coast and several great pubs and places to eat. Now under new ownership it is being offered for rental for the summer of 2021 prior to extensive building works. The house comfortably sleeps 6 with a downstairs king-size bedroom and contemporary shower room, with a further two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. The sitting room has a double height sail shaped window flooding the room with light, overlooked by a mezzanine sitting area accessed via a cast iron spiral staircase. Outside the coastal feel is continued with a south facing garden with a blend of shingle, sleepers, old jetty posts and decked area for dining.
The reasonable rental rates reflect the "no frills" but comfortable condition of this superbly located holiday home.

Ground Floor

Entrance hallway with downstairs cloakroom.

Kitchen: With open hatch at one end overlooking the sitting room. The kitchen is well-equipped with built in electric oven, microwave and electric ring hob, Nespresso coffee machine, fridge and dishwasher.

Sitting Room: Light and spacious room with cast iron spiral staircase to the first floor mezzanine, contemporary wood burning stove, 2 large sofas, armchair, TV, and double doors leading onto decked area.

Bedroom 3: Overlooking the garden with king-size bed, bedside tables, built in double wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Shower Room: Situated opposite the bedroom with corner shower, wash basin and WC.

Dining Room: Has a dining table and chairs seating 6 and a sofa. Leads through to a reading area with doors to the garden.

There is a staircase to the first floor which is non-steep and has a hand rail.

Utility Room/ Games Room: With table football table, large sofa. washing machine, tumble dryer, counter top freezer, boiler and doors to garden.

First Floor

Bedroom 1: Good sized room with king-size bed, bedside tables and lamps, chest of drawers and window overlooking the garden. Leads through into the mezzanine area with built-in wardrobe.

Bedroom 2: Double bed, table and bedside lamp. pedestal wash basin.

Bathroom: Bath, hand basin & WC.

Please note that if you're in bedroom 2, access to the first floor bathroom is via bedroom 1. Alternatively you may go down the spiral staircase to use the downstairs shower room.

Mezzanine: The spiral staircase from the sitting room leads to this lovely area which overlooks the sitting room, with chair and door to a Juliet balcony.

Please note that the spiral suitcase may not be suitable for small children.

Outside

Fulmar is quietly positioned at the end of a no-through road with plenty of parking space at the front of the house in the large shingled driveway.

Attractive rear garden with a coastal theme (not enclosed) with decked area, shingle, sleepers and old jetty posts. There's garden furniture seating 8 situated under a large garden sail. A charcoal barbecue and 2 reclining chairs are also available.

Thornham

Location

At the western end of the North Norfolk coast, Thornham is situated on the scenic A149 coastal road, roughly half-way between Hunstanton and the Burnhams. This is a village of fewer than 500 inhabitants, however it is now one of the most popular coastal villages in the area with its excellent selection of places to eat, the unspoilt coastline and nearby RSPB reserve at Titchwell.
There is a beautiful unspoilt beach for those willing to hike the mile or so out along the coastal path, but the characteristic landscape here is one of marshes and salt water inlets. Thornham had a prosperous harbour 200 years ago (particularly for smugglers it seems), and still has a small boat harbour today, as well as rugged Thornham Creek, which is a popular spot for artists and photographers. Down by the marshes The Lifeboat Inn, built in the 16th century, provides excellent food and drink throughout the day.
In the centre of the village, locally caught seafood  is served at the award winning Orange Tree gastro pub, opposite All Saints church which is an impressive building with 15th century foundations. Thornham has a third good place to eat - The Chequers Inn which serves delicious home-cooked pizzas and is ideal for families.
Thornham has a great range of local amenities with the excellent Thornham deli, shop and cafe, a childrens' playground and a tennis court.
Just along the coast road heading towards Hunstanton is Drove Orchards which opens seasonally for the sale of a wide range of locally sourced fresh foods from its award-winning farm shop, has an amazingly wide variety of pick-your-own fruits, fishmonger, lifestyle shopping, plant nursery and play area.. 

One of Norfolk's best places for fish and chips is Eric's Fish & Chips (behind Drove Orchards) which is owned and run by a chef formerly at Titchwell Manor. It offers delicious freshly cooked fish and chips to eat in or takeaway.
