1 Ruscon Cottage was as we had expected. It is a good size and and the bedrooms are great and we would stay again!

The Newberry's - 15/05/2021
A cosy cottage for two adults, bunk beds fine for children. 1 Ruscon Cottage was more roomy than I imagined. We liked the parking for two cars and it was very clean.
The Mitchell Family - 24/04/2021
An old cottage but has been modernised sympathetically. We liked the comfortable sofas and the sea view from back door

At 1 Ruscon Cottage we liked the spacious sitting room and log burner, the Christmas tree and lights was a lovely touch. Masses of hot water - Thank you. A lovely New Year break. We would stay again!
The Yates Party - 28/12/2019
We liked the whole cottage really, the layout of the living area and kitchen, the upstairs room were smashing and the bathroom (which I am most particular about) is brilliant.
The Preston's - 14/10/2019
A delightful cottage and just what we needed for walking in Norfolk and good to come back to such a warm cosy cottage with views down to the marshes
We liked it because it was in Brancaster Staithe, close to White Horse and Coastal Path and warm and cosy on a wet week in Norfolk. 1 Ruscon Cottage had good parking, enclosed garden, upstairs and downstairs bathrooms and all in one kitchen, sitting area and dining area for 6.

Better than Expected More spacious than expected 10 out of 10 for the cleanliness. 7 out of 10 for the garden Spacious, yet cosy and welcoming.

Brancaster Staithe
Location
A bustling village with an attractive harbour which is just to the east of Brancaster (staithe means wharf, or landing stage). There is a well-supported sailing club here and in the summer at high tide there is always a crowd of people and boats jostling to get onto the water. The sea still gives a living to many in the area though and Brancaster Staithe is famed for its mussels, which may be bought locally at The Fish Shed along the coast road.
Just off the coast of Brancaster Staithe, Scolt Head Island is a four mile long sand bar housing a National Nature Reserve well-known for terns, oystercatchers, and ringed plovers. You can take a boat trip with Branta Cruises to visit the island.
The village is a picturesque one, with typical flint walling on many cottages, and popular with second home owners and holiday makers. There is good beer and food available throughout the day at the Jolly Sailor's pub, or for more of a treat with stunning views and delicious food there is The White Horse overlooking the marshes which has just been voted the county's eatery for 2018 in the National Pub and Bar awards.
Next to Brancaster Staithe is Burnham Deepdale which has a Norman church, a visitors centre and a good selection of shops, including a small supermarket, Fat Face and Gone Crabbing. After a brisk walk on the beach or an invigorating sail there's nothing better than a trip to the ever popular Deepdale Café, renowned for its hearty English breakfasts.
