Guest Reviews

The Bakehouse exceeded our expectations in every way.

Everything was top quality. We loved the Welcome wine, cake etc. Generous tea and coffee supplies are a nice touch.

The outside area and glass atrium are a real feature - simple but lovely.

This is a really lovely property.

Wyatt Party - 07/08/2017

We absolutely loved The Bakehouse. We'll be back thanks for everything.

Bob and Jan Cockburn - 21/10/2016

What a wonderful cottage, we normally stay on the coast and visit Burnham Market, this is the first time we have stayed in the village and our time was perfect. The cottage is 10 out of 10 for luxury and the welcome pack was the same. The weather was brilliant so we enjoyed the roof terrace too.

Holden - 16/09/2016

We have had a lovely relaxing stay in North Norfolk enhanced by our stay in your beautifully appointed holiday home.

David and Anne Fleming - 06/08/2016

We have so enjoyed staying in your beautiful home. It is extremely clean, gorgeous and modern and we so appreciate the welcoming cake, wine and cheese-board. We hope to come back. We've loved our break here.

Ann and Bill Potter - 18/03/2016

Loved everything about this property.

Burnham Market

Location

A delightful Georgian village which is situated a stones throw away from the glorious North Norfolk coastline and is the largest of the 7 Burnham villages. At its centre is a large village green surrounded by striking Queen Anne and Georgian buildings, with 2 churches that lie at each end of its broad main street.
Unlike many other English towns which are dominated by multiples, Burnham Market has a traditional post office, butcher, hardware shop, fish shop and chemist for all the necessities of everyday life, but there are also over 30 highly original independent and specialist shops, selling a wide range of exciting deli products, vibrant and stylish accessories for home and garden, smart clothes shops, and books old and new. There are some great places to eat, the best being the renowned Hoste Arms which is a 17th Century old coaching house and is open all day. As a result Burnham Market attracts many celebrities and cosmopolitan visitors, getting very crowded in the holiday periods, earning the nickname Chelsea-on-Sea. There is an annual summer music festival with professional musicians entertaining residents and holiday makers in various venues such as the lovely church of Burnham Westgate at the western edge of the village.
From the end of November the village is beautifully lit with Christmas lights and it makes the perfect place to visit for Christmas shopping.
