Hill Top Docking

Beautiful cottage . We had a week stay in this lovely cottage , so cosy and the beds were so comfy and a well equipped kitchen . We love the North Norfolk Coast and enjoyed Docking a great base for visiting so many places and beaches around.

Have had a lovely weekend here. The cottage is great and very homely. Had a lovely meal at The Railway Inn in the village and can also recommend the Indian restaurant in Heacham.

Totally unexpected short notice holiday. Never been to Norfolk before, definitely will be back. Can't fault the cottage at all. Ideal base to travel to anywhere. Absolutely loved it. Thanks.

Such a lovely well equipped cottage. We have been impressed by Docking after usually staying on the coast roads. Managed to have a full week of sunshine and reached Brancaster beach daily (which the dogs loved!) Hope to come back again next year.

What a wonderful stay! Dog friendly pub, The White Horse at Bracaster Staithe. Lovely walks on Brancaster beach. Evening out at Bar 29 in Burnham Market with cocktails and Socius for food. Here and there taxi Driver Dave was brilliant.

This was our second visit to Hill Top and we enjoyed every minute. Thank you Hellen and Ben for the fizz in the fridge, a lovely touch. Had a lovely meal at The Gin Trap in Rindstead, delicious. Dog friendly and worth a visit if only for a pint. Thanks again for letting us stay in your lovely cottage, we will be back.

Exactly a year later and we're back what a glorious week of sunshine in your lovely cottage. Another delicious lunch at Wiverton Hall. Explored Wells, ate at the Globe( highly recommend, but suggest booking as was very busy.) Also ate at the Wiverton Bell, excellent and much quieter.

Our 2nd visit to this lovely cottage. Well equipped and comfortable. Docking is well situated for visiting this part of Norfolk. The village has a shop/PO, pub that serves meals and even a half decent chippy. Whats not to like? Spent our days visiting some lovely places. Fell in love with Wells and passed several happy hours people watching on the harbour and along at the beach. Ate at the Globe in Wells, which was excellent (no wonder its very busy) and the Wiveton Bell, which was quieter but still very good.

Lovely cosy cottage in a great location; well-equipped and laid out.. Great location for exploring the Norfolk coast and nearby wildlife reserves and then returning to relax in front of the log burner.

Super, well-equipped cottage in excellent location. We had some wonderful walks and Rowan enjoyed two swims in the sea at 'sunny Hunny.' Thank you for the fizz. On the food front, we had an excellent meal at The Duck Inn at Stanhoe and at Sculthorpe Mill and delicious savoury pies from the deli at Norfolk Lavender.

This is our second stay at Hilltop. We have had a fantastic break. The cottage is perfectly located. This will be one of many breaks here for us, we love Norfolk and Hilltop is such a great base

We have just got home from Hilltop sadly as we had the best break. The cottage was fantastic for us, and our dog, it is pretty much next to everything. We loved it so much we would like to book again if possible.

We were quite lucky with the weather really. Had one particularly wet morning so we went to the Sealife Centre. A drizzly but manageable morning out at Snettisham Farm and deer park. That was particularly cute. The girls loved feeding the deer on the deer safari. Was a wonderful break.

A very wet weekend was forecast but a few showers did not stop cycling, walking or coastal path running and the sun shone for a most beautiful last morning on Brancaster Beach kite flying and even a chilly dip! All in all, a most lovely first stay in your beautiful cottage and this fab area.

Hilltop was comfortable and very nicely furnished in a good location. The bubbly on arrival was nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again. We had a fabulous time thanks. The cottage was beautiful and made our stay very comfortable. Our friends joined us for a couple of days and we had a great time enjoying the (very) hot weather.
On your recommendation we went to Titchwell Manor and enjoyed a very nice evening with good food.

The traffic was quite bad but we did reasonably well on our outward and return journeys, both very hot days too. In addition to all the exploring we ate and drank far too much, thanks for the fizz btw, and generally felt so relaxed.

I’ll definitely be recommending it to friends as it was in the perfect location for so many days out.

Despite Storm Dennis it did not dampen our love of this coast. Cottage very good, well equipped and good location - no complaints. Local pub also served good food.

We had a wonderful time thank you, the storm was strong but it didn’t stop us enjoying ourselves! Gorgeous cottage, so tasteful, the beds were so comfortable. The Duck Inn was fabulous and the deli in old Hunstanton. I will definitely be exploring that neck of the woods again the beaches were fantastic. We took my mum with us as it was my dads anniversary of passing, so it was very special to us! Thank you so much, I hope you get the time and opportunity to enjoy the cottage yourself!

Hellen and family - thank you for a wonderful stay at Hilltop. We all had a fantastic time and the children loved their bedroom and the garden! We hadn't stayed in this part of Norfolk before but found that it is a great location and near to all of our favourite places. We plan to stay again soon.

We had an absolutely fab time thankyou, and yes the weather was really good. We couldn't have asked for better...Jess loved it too, although she is 12 she was like a puppy on Brancaster beach. Third visit, speaks volumes. Lovely meal at the Railway. Brancaster beach is Jess's favourite, we walked for miles. Discovered Burnham over Staithe and bought some lovely sandwiches from The Crab Hut. Busy year ahead but we will defo be back for another stay. We were very lucky with sunny weather.

Beautiful cottage, ideal location even the weather obliged for the 4 nights we stayed. Uut every day so many places to visit and so many are dog friendly. I think the dogs had a better holiday than we did and we had a very good short break. Highly recommend your lovely cottage. Thank you for the wine!

Just wanted to say what another great stay we had at Hilltop! We loved that the family photo had been updated and it's such a lovely home from home which you sometimes don't get with holiday lets. We're already trying to work out when we can visit again.

Lovely cottage - perfect for our short stay. Has wonderful weather so not in much! Pizza van and chippy both a hit with our boys. The Hero and Burnham over Staithe is a lovely spot.

Our second stay here and the weather was beautiful. We went to Brancaster beach, had lunch at The Golden Lion in Hunstanton with lovely views across the sea. Visited Burnham Market. Lovely long walk at Sandringham on the Sunday with free parking. Jess really enjoyed sunning herself in the lovely garden. The Prosecco is a lovely touch. You have to buy the local sausages and eggs from The Spar - they are fab - but for a bigger shop the Tesco in Hunstanton is ideal. Hope to be back next year.

We got home yesterday evening after a superb four days in Norfolk. Your cottage is delightful and beautifully setup. Everything worked! Loved the clever retractable dog / children gate. Thanks for the Fizz!

Docking is a superb spot. That SPAR is brilliant, and proximity to the wonderful beaches is amazing. Sadly we missed the local chippy because they close at 8.00, which is the peak time for our local chippy! Eric's fish & chip shop is superb, I would suggest eating there since despite the relatively short drive back to Docking, the food was nearly cold by the time I was back.

Anyway, thanks... We had a great time and we hope to come back again.

Brilliant cottage with great facilities. Wells, Brancaster and Cromer a must – sadly no seals. The village pub a must even did scrambled egg for the dog. Chip shop and pizza van excellent. See if you can find the secret beach??

We went to Brancaster three times, Holkham to Wells one day then Sandringham yesterday which was superb. I go to Norfolk a lot and can't believe now that I've never thought of going there.
The Docking fish and chips were super and I have never seen a spar that good before. The village has everything you need.

A great weekend away at this lovely cottage conveniently located 4 miles from Brancaster. Village has all you need from a stay with a well stocked store, good chippy and pub that serves decent food at reasonable prices. Hellen was so accommodating when we were forced to cancel our original dates due to the heavy snow fall. The better half was most impressed with the bottle of prosecco provided for our arrival! Thanks, we will stay again when back in the area.
